Questo piccolo ma raffinato appartamento di due stanze affacciato su un bel rio a un passo (reale!) da Rialto è situato in un Palazzo del Quattrocento in pieno centro a Venezia. Palazzo Cavazza Foscari Mocenigo dalle Zogie (ovvero "dalle Perle") è una magnifica struttura tardo gotica della prima metà del Quattrocento donata nel 1460 dal suo proprietario, Tommaso Cavazza, alla Confraternita di Santa Maria della Carità, poi venduta nel 1487 a Michiel Foscari. Nel 1491, Pellegrina Foscari, figlia di Michiel, sposa Alvise Mocenigo e lo porta in dote al marito.
La corte interna è costituita da un doppio ordine di colonne ad arcate con un pozzo con le armi dei Foscari scolpite e un "ingresso d'acqua" sul Rio del Piombo. Due teste di leone (una delle quali probabilmente antichissima, forse addirittura romana, e un'altra del XVI secolo) sono poste sui muri perimetrali della colonnata e simboleggiano la potenza della Serenissima.
Si accede alla corte interna del Palazzo da una fondamentina privata in marmo che parte direttamente dal Ponte delle Paste (a pochi metri da Campo San Lio in direzione Campo Santa Marina), sul quale troverete l'ottima omonima Pasticceria che vi allieterà ogni giorno con i dolci più squisiti della tradizione. Il cancello piccolo della fondamentina e quello grande della corte interna garantiscono privacy e sicurezza. All'interno della corte, si vede, lungo il lato estremo a sinistra dell'entrata, una bella scala in pietra con leoncini in marmo a far da capobalaustra. Questo è l'ingresso esclusivo del vostro appartamento!
Dovrete salire quindi le scale di pietra esterne e altri pochi gradini interni (in totale 23, non c'è ascensore) per accedere al Primo Piano Nobile del Palazzo. Sul pianerottolo, a sinistra, il portoncino laccato di azzurro e oro e a vetri piombati è l'ingresso del bilocale di ca. 50 m2 che vi ospiterà a Venezia.
D'estate, l'aria condizionata è garantita da un potente condizionatore portatile.
Nel vostro appartamento troverete: un saloncino di ca. 20 m2 con un'altezza dei soffitti di mt.5,30, corredato da un comodo sofà a tre posti, due poltroncine in stile Luigi XV e un'ottomana su sommier dalle tappezzerie pregiate. Molti cuscini anche in kilim ammorbidiranno la vostra permanenza. Due grandi porte-finestre con tende in morbido ma "rustego" lino écru danno accesso al piccolo balcone in pietra d'Istria in stile secentesco di mt. 2,70 x 0,80 ca. di ampiezza. Il balconcino sul rio del Piombo è sufficientemente vasto da permettervi la sosta con due sedie in legno e un piccolo panchetto. Perfetto per un aperitivo a tarda serata in Giugno, una lettura pomeridiana in primavera o una colazione di prima mattina anche nei mesi invernali dalla luce di cristallo.
Il rio del Piombo e l'adiacente rio della Fava, su cui insiste la facciata del Palazzo, sono frequentati sia dalle gondole sia dalle barche di trasporto merci: ciò è normale per Venezia, ma non costituisce un ostacolo per il riposo notturno, che è garantito. Anzi, se vi fermerete abbastanza per prendere confidenza con questo aspetto tipicamente veneziano, farete come Wagner e inserirete nei vostri canti personali i richiami dei gondolieri che segnalano il loro arrivo ai colleghi dietro la volta di canale...
Nel saloncino c'è anche la TV satellitare. Internet è garantito dalla linea WI-FI la cui chiave d'accesso troverete scritta all'interno dell'appartamento.
La seconda stanza, di ca. 16 m2 con due grandi finestre a doppi vetri, annovera la piccola cucina con piano a induzione in vetro ceramica a 4 fuochi e forno elettrico. Non c'è lavastoviglie né lavatrice. Un frigorifero free-standing di dimensioni contenute completa il numero dei grandi elettrodomestici. E' disponibile il completo elenco delle attrezzature (tutto di buona fornitura e adatto per il piano a induzione - compresa la moka per il caffé all'italiana - e con diversi piccoli elettrodomestici, tra cui il bollitore e la macchina per il caffé americano...).
In quest'area è la zona pranzo con un ampio tavolo in legno e diverse sedute. A lato della cucina è il piccolo bagno (cieco) con wc, lavabo e doccia (in dotazione anche il phon). E' piccolo, ma funzionale...
La scala a chiocciola in legno laccato di azzurro conduce al soppalco di ca. 12 m2 dove è sistemato il letto di cm. 140 di ampiezza.
A causa del soppalco non è possibile ospitare bambini!
L'appartamento ha in dotazione un set di lenzuola (per chi rimane oltre la settimana ci si accorderà per il cambio) e un set completo di asciugamani per ciascun ospite (piccolo, mani e telo). Il letto è corredato da una trapunta leggera per le stagioni calde e una coperta per l'inverno.
TASSE DI SOGGIORNO - € 4 per persona al giorno per i primi 5 giorni di permanenza. Devono essere pagate al check-in, verrà rilasciata regolare ricevuta.
Se si desidera che si prepari anche il letto nel salotto (sofa turco) si dovrà pagare una tariffa extra di € 30,00 per la preparazione del letto e il costo delle lenzuola aggiuntive.
