A wonderful rural sanctuary. A quirky, quaint, clean and comfortable and cosy self-contained studio barn conversion on first floor and accessed via outside stone steps in courtyard of traditional farm buildings with slate roofs and hanging baskets. Conveniently located five minutes from A55 and adjacent to Halkyn Mountain, an ideal touring base for exploring our local area and beyond, great pubs and restaurants, theatres, market towns, the beaches and castles of Wales Coast/Snowdonia or Chester/Liverpool. It is very small, but fully equipped with modern facilities with character features including open beams.

“Lovely snug in the country”

Owners very welcoming but not invasive. The accomodation is great with kitchen and shower room. The location is very peaceful and links to many walks in and around Halkyn. You can walk into Northop...great pub, the Boot inn. The Britainnia in Halkyn served best mixed grill. I would recommend and happily stay again.

“A Quiet Peaceful Bolthole”

Y-Lloft may be hidden away in the Welch countryside but was extremely easy to locate given the detailed directions provided by owner. We really appreciated the early check in allowed having arrived that morning direct from Australia accompanied by the unavoidable jet lag. Y-Lloft location makes access to Holywell, Mold and other places easy. Appreciated the “Welcome Pack” items including milk, butter and cheese. Parking easy. No wi-fi and mobile coverage did not work for us. Unit itself was small to our minds. But would be far less cluttered for travellers without the number of bags we were lugging around to cater for extended overseas travel. Having stayed in hotels in the area on previous trips we certainly prefer the independence & quietness of Y-Lloft.
