Description
The Kirkwood Cottage carriage house is located 4 blocks off I-630 - just minutes from the VA Med Center, UAMS and Children's Hospitals, in the heart of the business, South Main (SoMa) and River Market districts. The carriage house is a good choice for business travelers or couples who want a romantic getaway and it is perfect to accommodate your extended stay guests. Pricing will depend upon length of stay.
A private entrance through the brick courtyard (digital lock on the privacy fence gate), hand-scraped hickory in living room, painted wood floors upstairs and the original brick floors in entry and kitchen. Two gas log heaters, period light fixtures, and a wood-burning stove add to the historic nature of this upscale 1,470 square foot barn. Updated features like WiFi and two flat panel TV's with Direct TV, a whirlpool tub in the downstairs bathroom, another full bathroom upstairs, a full size washer and dryer, and quality mattresses in the two adjoining bedrooms ensure you the comfort you deserve.
We also have Netflix and Amazon Prime movies.
We are a small pet friendly place (owners have a Yorkie) so you never have to leave home without them and the carriage house even has a doggie door (a $25 non-refundable pet deposit per pet).
The kitchen is furnished with a side by side refrigerator with ice maker, dishwasher, microwave, toaster oven, two coffee makers (12 cup and single cup) and self-cleaning oven. Dishes, silverware and utensils are included for your convenience, as well as thick, fluffy towels and linens.
The enclosed courtyard has a small pond and a gas grill, should you want to cook or entertain outdoors. Automatic lighting means you never come home to a dark house. The carriage house is located in the Governor's Mansion historic neighborhood and is great for walking or bike riding, with an active arts and entertainment district just 3 blocks away on South Main.
The River Market is quite close as well, with many restaurants, bars, shopping, and the Clinton Presidential Library. Walgreens, a grocery store and post office are just blocks away.
