Blossom Folly is a luxury self-catering cottage situated in the picturesque coastal settlement of Roag. Set amidst mature private gardens the cottage is finished to a very high standard, benefitting from oak flooring throughout.

Settle back by the fire in the light and airy open plan living area, or sit out and watch the sun set from the adjoining wrap around decking. Soak it all in, in our luxury deep fill double bath before retiring to the king size french bed and let the electric black out blinds do the rest. Thoroughly rested you will emerge to explore the wonders of this magical island.

Elegantly furnished, all mod cons and a mere 1.5 miles from Dunvegan with its shops, cafes, bakery, garage, pubs and restaurant. Nearby attractions include Dunvegan castle gardens and boat trips, the world famous Three Chimneys restaurant and the stunning Coral Beaches to name but a few.

Getting around

I would recommend having a car to best explore the Island under your own steam - However from Dunvegan there are regular buses to Portree (the islands capital) from where you can catch buses all over!

Interaction with guest

We prefer to adopt a hands off approach. Guests have everything they need so are unlikely to require assistance, but if you do , we have a caretaker who lives nearby and can attend to any problems!

Response from the owner Glad you had a good stay. With regard to the water outages, I would like to point out that they are certainly not a regular occurrence. This is the first time that we have had a water loss in my memory and i have lived here for 10 years. There was a burst water main which was badly repaired and then burst again but is now fixed so i do not anticipate any further problems. Also there is a very good mini-mart in Dunvegan 1.5 miles away as well as a fruit and vegetable shop so no need to worry about food supply. Garden is maintained regularly.

“Wonderful stay”

Blossom Folly was the perfect accommodation for our 5 night stay on Skye. It's tranquil location was exactly what we were looking for and it's very close to Dunvagan if you need to nip in for supplies or a meal. It's central location on the island was perfect for seeing the entire island at our leisure. The cottage was immaculate and had everything we needed plus much more for a luxurious and comfortable break. If you're contemplating booking this cottage do stop and just book it!! You won't regret it. Oh and do make sure you use the bath!!

How do damage deposits work?

If Keith (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
