“Great location”

I really liked the location, it was a little bit of a ride from Drumnadrochit on a small way, but once you get there its beautifull. And I liked the lodge it self, it had alot of space inside. And the… More

“Lovely family break”

Reviewed 13 Jul 2021

Just returned from a family weekend break at Ancarraig. The lodge was lovely and had everything we needed. The area is so peaceful and we had a great view over Loch Ness. Would definitely recommend and hope to return some time.

“Lovely lodge”

Reviewed 31 Aug 2020

The lodge was lovely - very clean, cosy and the staff were great. Free logs for the fire which made such a difference to other places we’ve stayed which charge for them. The location is brilliant for access to the Great Glen Way, It was advertised as having WIFI but this was very limited. It wasn’t available in the lodge but could be accessed at the main office - the staff kindly set my boyfriend up with a desk in the shed next to it so he could do work! Would totally recommend as a place to stay.

“Peaceful secluded woodland”

Reviewed 29 May 2017

Beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean cabin in a peaceful secluded woodland without a direct view of the loch from where were but still perfect. The staff and management made us feel welcome months before we arrived and put birthday banners and balloons up and arranged for cold beers and birthday cake :) amazing!!

Response from the owner Thank you for your review, we're pleased you enjoyed the log burner and location - something many of our guests comment positively about! Apologies if your shower was cold, I wonder if you flipped the switch to turn the hot water on which was situated on the wall outside of the bathroom? We'll show you in person if you ever visit again which we would welcome at any time.

“A really great lodge in a lovely setting near to Loch Ness, highly recommended”

Reviewed 24 Apr 2017

We stayed in lodge 10, which had a distant view of Loch Ness, a well equipped lodge which was perfect for our family of four. The lodge is five minutes to Drumnadrochit, ten minutes to Urquhart castle and thirty minutes to fort Augustus. The Lodge is set in a peaceful setting of lodges and felt private. The log burner was definitely required of an evening but made it feel very cosy & relaxing after full days out & about. I would return to here in the future and would recommend this to my friends.

Response from the owner Thank you so much for your lovely review. We are pleased you enjoyed the location, it really is such a convenient spot! We get many comments about the log burners so we are glad we included them in our renovations as before, there was nothing but an electric radiator and electric had to be pre-bought on a card. We definitely agree things are alot more cosy now and we look forward to welcoming you back in the future.
