Description

Macaulay cottage is a traditional 4 bedroom stone built house set in the beautiful surroundings of the Golden Road in the village of Grosebay. Fully furnished house sleeping up to 7 people. Lower floor features dining room, sitting room, kitchen, one twin bedroom, one single bedroom and toilet with shower. Upper floor features 2 double bedrooms and bathroom with shower. Electric heating in most of the rooms. Dogs are welcome at Macaulay cottage.

It is a 10 minute drive from the ferry terminal in Tarbert and a 20 minute drive to the sandy beaches on the west side of the island. Local attractions include local distillery, trips to St Kilda and Harris Tweed.

“Macauley holiday cottage”

A lovely well equipped cottage in a beautiful rugged setting, very quiet area. Short drive to the beaches. We had a lovely warm welcome from Maree when we arrived and a lovely welcome pack of Wine, fresh flowers and fresh eggs inside. We enjoyed our week here very much and hope to return in the future.

“Perfect place to chill out and relax with family and dog.”

Macaulay cottage provides an ideal location to explore the island and visit the many lovely beaches and places of interest. The house had everything that was needed. Comfortable , clean, and ownere were very friendly. A welcome pack of fresh eggs and bottle of wine was eagerly consumed. We would definately return here.

How do damage deposits work?

If Maree (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
