Description

A beautifully restored original thatched cottage on South Uist. The cottage is modern yet retains the traditional croft features. South Uist has beautiful white beaches, plenty of wildlife including golden eagles, otters and dolphins or perhaps enjoy walks with spectacular scenery.

The kitchen/dining are open plan. The modern kitchen is well equipped. The comfortable living room has 2 sofas, dining table and chairs, flag screen TV with Sky TV and a DVD player. Free wifi is also provided. The bathroom has a white suite with shower. The cottage has underfloor heating throughout making it cosy throughout the year.

“Perfect holiday on the Hebs”

Had a lovely time at this Black House Seann Taigh Cottage, and the host Katie gave us a warm welcome. Perfect spot to see lots of wildlife. Great location for going out to restaurant's. Lots of walks around the area and easy access to the beaches.

“Idyllic island cottage”

Although there was a lot of wet and windy weather during our week on South Uist, Seann Taigh Cottage provided a cosy, comfortable, warm and well equipped home and we were sad to leave. The cottage is in a beautiful location and Katie and her family were great hosts, welcoming and helpful. South Uist has a special beauty, as do all the islands. We left feeling we would like to return and explore them some more!

How do damage deposits work?
