Enjoy blissful seclusion at our brand-new, adorable cottage in the woods. Tucked into the pines of the Sierra Nevadas, this vacation rental is ideal for a romantic escape or small family vacation. Enjoy stunning views of Castle Peak from the covered porch!

Or get out and explore. Donner Lake, with its many activities across all four seasons, is just 20 minutes away. Get out on the water, lay on the beach, or hit or the slopes or bike trails. Hike to the top of Castle Peak, then remember your journey later while you look at the mountain from your porch!

Or stay closer to home and spend a day skiing or snowboarding at the family-friendly Soda Springs Park—just a 2-minute drive away. Then head back to our cozy cabin for hot chocolate and a night snuggled around the fire.

INSIDE THE COTTAGE

Our charming, two-level cottage features an open-plan living area with high ceilings and large windows that make it feel larger than its 800 sq. ft.!

Sink into the comfy sectional sofa while warming up beside the wood pellet fireplace. When evenings get chilly, the on-demand water heater and remote controlled heating system will keep you warm.

Cook up dinner for everyone in the well-equipped kitchen. It’s outfitted with light wooden cabinets and white modern appliances. A generous amount of counter space makes it easy to cater to a crowd. Steps away is a wooden dining table that comfortably seats 5. Spread out here at mealtimes, or use the space for board games or playing cards.

Situated off the main hallway, the master bedroom comes with a comfortable full-size bed and three large windows that welcome lots of natural light into the room.

A cute spiral staircase leads to the second level and a spacious loft room with a queen bed and a queen sleeper. High, canted ceilings add more space. Stow away to watch TV, or pick a favorite movie from the DVD collection. Need extra sleeping room for guests? There’s a full-sized sleeper beneath the living room couch.

In the mornings, savor the crisp mountain air from the large covered porch. There’s also a propane BBQ out here - perfect for grilling veggies and steaks in the open air.

The setting was peaceful and quiet. The walkway was illuminated when porch light was on and the motion activated porch light after dark helped. The cabin was neat and clean with everything in the kitc… More
