Description

The Methodist Manse cottage is a luxurious detached cottage which has been tastefully restored inside & out.

There are 4 double bedrooms, (3 are 6ft wide, one is 4ft wide) two are en suite & one is on the ground floor. Up to 3 of these bedrooms can be prepared as twin bedrooms if preferred.

There is a family bathroom with a bath upstairs & a shower wc off the utility room on the ground floor, so 4 bathrooms in total.

Bespoke well equipped kitchen leads through to the dining area with bi folding doors to the large terrace & garden with private parking for 4 cars in the grounds.

Children & pets need to be supervised when outside, the raised lawn area has a drop off the side & Flintergill beck runs past the boundary embankment & the water is fast running after heavy rainfall.

“Delightful house, great location”

We booked the Manse for a reunion with old friends from around the country. The house and its setting were perfect for our needs. Four large bedrooms with big comfortable beds and good quality furniture. The ensuites and family bathrooms all modern and well equipped. We liked the fact that the kitchen is linked to the dining area so you're still with your friends while preparing/serving food. The sitting room has comfortable seating and a wood burner with plenty of wood provided by the owners. There is ample parking (three big cars no problem). Two really good pubs, a couple of cafes and the heritage centre are all within easy reach of the house. If you will be intending to walk in the countryside around Dent you should get the guide 'Exploring Dent and its Environs' from the heritage centre (£3.50). The Flintergill walk starting from the house is quite steep in places but well worth it. Overall a really high quality house with bags of character in a wonderful location.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.
