Wren Eagle Retreat, a secluded Chillicothe, Ohio vacation rental, is nestled among 31+ acres of oak, hickory, and maple with beautiful spring, summer, fall and winter views of southern Ohio ridges, trees, and wildlife. Surrounded by forest, with no other habitation in view, you can relax on the expansive deck, explore the rolling terrain, watch for deer, turkey, and other birds, animals, and insects, and be serenaded in the evening by crickets, toads, and bull frogs. Among the most unusual fauna are the reclusive owls and whippoorwills (who sing only in spring and autumn evenings), and the walking sticks and luna moths which appear during the summer.

Wren Eagle Retreat is perfect for a week of quiet contemplation, a family vacation, a scrapbooking or quilting group, or any other getaway occasion. Wren Eagle Retreat offers the comforts of home plus easy access to kayaking, biking, historical sites, and much more that Chillicothe (the first capital of the Northwest Territories and the first capital of Ohio) and the surrounding areas have to offer. Once you are ready to explore, The First Capital District offers 19th century architecture with interesting shops and restaurants, including The History Store which is filled with historical dioramas. The Pump House Art Gallery showcases local art, and the Ross County Historical Museum offers historic homes and artifacts located within an easy walk of each other. You can watch college summer league wood bat baseball with the Chillicothe Paints, enjoy the drama of Tecumseh, or visit various locations focusing on early moundbuilders and their art. There's so much to do and see that even a week will leave you wanting to come back and explore some more.
