“Very good”

Cosy cottage in quiet location in the centre of Hawes, warm and comfortable especially the bed. Parking wasn’t a problem. Recommend as a great base for walking and exploring a beautiful part of the Dales. Did walks mainly from the house, visited the museum and the Creamery for a demonstration of cheesemaking, both interesting. Keen to discover other Dales now.

Response from the owner I Jane thank you for your review, I agree the cottage is well located just off the Main Street in Hawes and is well located in Wensleydale to get out to lots of great places to eat or for some great walks which I believe our previous reviews can testify too. The cottage is the same as most of the traditional cottages in that area being Stone built with stone flagged floors as per photos on trip advisor. Thank you your comments on the cottage rooms being of a good size and comfortable. Regarding the leaky shower screen this has not been a problem however we will look at this as a seal may have recently gone on the screen and it is always helpful when guest report this. Unfortunately we can’t accommodate all preferences regarding bathroom windows , we have a lovely wood slatted blind in keeping with the decor of the cottage this provides all the privacy one would require as per photos of the cottage in particular when positioned in the closed position. The galley kitchen is a smart galley kitchen with all the equipment you would require , I can assure you the pans with the exception of the frying pan had a lid provided but I will look into the reason why you could not find one and if necessary replace. King regards Patricia
