An Grianan is a beautifully refurbished self-catering property located in the picturesque village of Port Charlotte Islay. It enjoys stunning sea views and views across the village.
An Grianan is within walking distance of all the excellent amenities of Port Charlotte and within easy reach of everything that Islay has to offer, making it an ideal base for you to explore the island from.
An Grianan is Gaelic for ‘the sunny spot’ and, when the sun is shining, the garden at An Grianan is a real sun trap. So whether you prefer to relax inside in the Sun Room or enjoy the sea breeze in the garden, you will be able to soak up the beautiful views across Loch Indaal, to the Mull of Oa and over the picturesque conservation village of Port Charlotte.
The house is bright and in excellent decorative order with high quality furniture and fittings throughout. With central heating and a stock of games, books and DVDs to enjoy, you will be cosy and warm whatever time of year you choose to visit this beautiful island.

“Perfect Holiday”
We had a lovely holiday in Islay. The house is very well equipped and very comfy. The view from the house is just perfect. Flora, our host, was easy to contact and answered any questions we had prior to our visit. We ate at the Port Charlotte Hotel one evening and would recommend it. Booking a table is essential as it is popular. The same goes for the Fish Restaurant at the foot of the road. There are lots of lovely walks on Islay. Our favourite was the walk at Loch Gruinart.

“Great place for a family holiday”
A very welcoming property with stunning views across the loch Indaal. Clean, very inviting, well laid out and a commonal area offering dinning space with a view. Location-wise probably in the sweet spot of Islay offering almost equal distance access to most attractions except for the Ardbeg, Lagavulin and Laphroaig distilleries. Would warmly recommend.
