Description

One of 4 comfortable B&B rooms in an old farm surrounded by stunning scenery. Close to market villages with all the shops and restaurants you might need, and easy access from main roads and airports, you will feel like you truly got away from it all. With 20 hectares of meadow and forest (with small lake) and many walking trails around us to explore, it's great for nature lovers. But with loads of other activities around (markets, biking, canoeing, castles) there is something to do for everyone.

The space

This big and comfortable room is part of an old farm dating back to 1910. Although the room has all the modern features you would expect, like double glazing, heating, a private bathroom with big walk-in shower, and comfortable beds, some of the old features like exposed stone walls and beams are still there to add atmosphere. The king size bed can be split up into two singles if you need two separate beds. The rooms have a shared private entrance, separate from the hosts.

All bedlinen and towels are included. All bathrooms have complementary soap, shampoo and a hairdryer. A continental breakfast is served in the breakfast room, but you can choose to take your breakfast to one of the many outdoor seating areas. In the breakfast room you will also find a coffee/tea station, where you can help yourself to a tea or coffee all day long, or take a refreshment from the fridge up to your room. You are also welcome to use the big barbeque or the brick wood-fired pizza oven, which are situated around the communal terrace where you can maybe catch up with other guests. Here there is also a separate area for the kids to entertain themselves with some games. Outside you can explore all the land and forest, or choose to relax under the willow tree at the frogpond and watch the wildlife such as: birds (of prey), maybe a few deer, chicken, our two goofy dogs and a couple of cats. There are travelcots and highchairs available for the little ones, and you can use the guest washing machine during your stay.

We are motor bike friendly, and can offer you covered parking for your two (or three) wheeler.

Getting around

It is recommended that you have a car, there is no public transport up to the house. The nearest trainstation is in Thiviers, 15 minutes away. We can pick you up from there, if arranged beforehand. Once you are here, you can also get around by hire bikes which we can arrange for you.

Of course we are there when you arrive, so that we can answer all your questions. But after that you can just relax in your own private place. We live on the other side of the same building, so we are there if you need anything. In your room you'll find lots of local tourist information.
