Description

Spacious two storey cottage, comfortably furnished and well equipped with oil fired central heating.

On the ground floor the large lounge is well furnished and has an open fireplace, the large window facing west provides panoramic views of the landscape. The kitchen/dinette is fitted with electric cooker, microwave oven, dishwasher, fridge freezer, toaster etc. There are two bedrooms downstairs, one with a double bed, and the other with twin beds. Each room has its own wash basin. The bathroom has both a bath and a separate walk in shower. Upstairs there is another twin-bedded room and a shower/toilet room. A tumble drier and freezer are located in the utility area upstairs along with drying area and linen storage. Outdoor drying facilities are also available.

Situated on a working croft near the sea and beaches, Balranald Bird reserve and golf course are nearby too.

Good parking available

The area is great for hill and beach walks as well as fishing and bird watching. We are within easy travelling distance of grocery supermarkets, pubs, cafes and restaurants.

The weekly rental is inclusive of electricity, WiFi, heating, bedding, towels and toiletries.

Excellent. Good location for visiting all the islands from Berneray in the north to Eriskay in the south. Cottage is very comfortable and well equipped. Host is friendly and helpful.

“fantastic place to stay”

Great house with everything you need for a comfortable, relaxed stay. Herd of dear in garden consisting of 3 stags and 4 hinds almost every morning. Large bird of pray pounced on something 20 feet from living room window. Several owls and hundreds of oyster catchers. Birds that I have not seen for years. NOTE FOR FISHERMAN before you start it is well worth talking to John at the Lochmaddy hotel. Great source of information and will point you in the right direction. Loch's near house productive, but heather banks, difficult to walk. Loch's up from Westford pub grass banking easy walking so can cover more water.
