Description

Kinloch Follart is a substantial holiday home set within 2 acres of land with direct access to the shores of Loch Dunvegan. Built in the 19th Century as the manse, Kinloch Follart commands a presence with MacLeod's Tables as a backdrop. The village of Dunvegan, with local shops, bakery, restaurants and Dunvegan Castle, is a short walk away. Kinloch Follart offers generous and well appointed accommodation; perfect for family gatherings and special occasions.

The welcoming entrance porch has a hat stand, local information and a seat, ideally located for helping with the removal of muddy boots! This leads into the impressive central hallway where the drawing room is found to the right.

An open fire creates a warm ambience in the spacious drawing room. There are two sofa's and a couple of arm chairs to relax upon, television with Freeview and a DVD player. Sliding doors lead you into the music room with guitar and piano for guests to enjoy! Glass doors then take you to the conservatory where you can enjoy 180 degree views of the gardens, MacLeod's Tables and Loch Dunvegan. The conservatory makes an excellent place to unwind with coffee or play games in the evening. There is a fold-away table tennis table for guests to use.

The dining room has a large dining table seating up to 10 people easily but can accommodate up to 12 people, excellent for evening meals!

The kitchen is a spacious, light and airy room with ample worktops for everyone to help out with the cooking! There is a country range with 6 gas burners, three electric ovens and a grill. Two large fridges and a large freezer provide plenty of storage for fresh and frozen food whilst there are several kitchen cupboards for storing groceries. Double kitchen sinks and a dishwasher help make doing the dishes easier.

Also on the ground floor is a W.C., walk in shower and wash hand basin, utility/drying room with washing machine and tumble dryer and a glass porch which leads to the drive. This entrance can be good for those with muddy boots!

On the first floor there are two very generous master bedrooms, a double bedroom and a twin bedroom. The McKellan has a king size double bed, bedside cabinets with side lights, chest of drawers with mirror, television with Freeview and an ensuite with shower over bath, W.C. and wash hand basin. There is a decorative fireplace and the window gives views over the front lawn towards Loch Dunvegan.

The MacKenzie bedroom has a private linked bathroom with a king size double bed, bedside cabinets with side lights, chest of drawers, television with Freeview and ample storage with fitted wardrobes. There is a decorative fireplace and the room has views over the front lawn and towards Loch Dunvegan. The private bathroom has a shower over bath, W.C. and wash hand basin.

The Stewart is a double bedroom with bedside cabinet and side lights, fitted wardrobes and a television with Freeview. It enjoys views over the walled garden towards MacLeod's Tables and Loch Dunvegan.

The MacLeod is a twin with two single beds, a bedside cabinet and chest of drawers.

There is a family bathroom which has a bath with shower over, W.C. and wash hand basin.

On the second floor, there is a further shared bathroom with shower over bath, W.C. and wash hand basin, and two double bedrooms. Both have views over Loch Dunvegan, fitted wardrobes and televisions with Freeview.

Outside, Kinloch Follart has ample parking. There are walled gardens surrounding the conservatory with views towards MacLeod's Tables and a circular lawn to the front of the property. Around the gardens are mature trees and shrubs, through which paths have been created for evening wanders down to shore, a perfect place to watch the sun set.

“Great base for a large family exploring Skye”

This place was beautiful and roomy. Fabulous kitchen to prepare family meals. Adults loved the large and varied library. The 2 year old spent many hours in the great playground.
