Description
Situated in the village of Aislaby and with beautiful far-reaching views over the National Park, the property is a comfortable family home consisting of four bedrooms and three bathrooms, there's plenty of room for all the family sleeping eight in comfort. Why not relax in front of one of the wood burning stoves in a comfortable chair in the sitting room after a bracing walk, or have a glass of wine sitting on the terrace on a summer's evening.
The village of Aislaby is a short walk away with The Forge selling bar meals if you would like a quick bite to eat. If you prefer coastal views, Whitby is not far away with its bustling harbour with both fishing and pleasure boats, where there are plenty of restaurants and take-away fish and chip shops if you wish to indulge in this English seaside favourite.
Sandsend and Robin Hood's Bay are also close by and well worth a visit along this beautiful coastline, and lovely places to start your walk. If cycling is one of your pastimes, Dalby Forest is an excellent place for mountain biking. Why not visit the North Yorkshire Moors Railway at Grosmont and relax as the train travels through the stunning countryside, or if you were a fan of the television series ‘Heartbeat', take a trip to Goathland to see where it was filmed.

“Lovely stay.”
What a beautiful home. Views are spectacular. Lovely touch with the welcome hamper. As the review said about damp patch and tumble dryer we noticed the same but didn’t ruin the stay at all. Rooms are lovely also, wardrobes would make it perfect. Husband couldn’t hang his shirts up. Only comment (and not a complaint at all) I have 2 young children and dog and there are no gates so I couldn’t relax as I had to make sure they hadn’t gone off. Gates would make it perfect for me. The cobbles are def not suitable for people mobility issues my son fell down the steps so I’d not say it’s for toddlers. Bottom of garden has an old broken metal fence, I was edge someone was going to get hurt. Garden is lovely, a little more effort in the boarders would make it beautiful. It’s full of weeds and nettles. We would definitely return when the children are older. Thank you for a lovely stay.

“Shocking!”
We arrived today to find a damp patch on the kitchen ceiling, a broken drier, and a set of patio doors which are warped closed. The temperature is 30c, we've paid £2,200 for a week, and th… More

Response from the manager Apologies for the issues you encountered. The damp patch was due to a shower leak which had been fixed that day but unfortunately there was no time to repaint the ceiling in the short turnaround between bookings. This will be done after your stay. The drier has been replaced but can only be fitted at the end of the season as it requires the kitchen worktop to be removed due to the tight fit. The patio door issue was sorted within 48 hours. Thank you for drawing this to our attention. There was never a fire safety risk as this is an additional door not required by building regulations.
