River Stone Lodge a wonderful place to stay! Come and enjoy a Vermont vacation in a beautiful area in a fun and fabulous home! Great for 2 families wanting to spend time together or just for 2 for that Very special getaway. Fully Equipped home with everything you could need for a great vacation 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, campfire ring with FREE firewood provided, Hot Tub, Gas Grill, Hammock, 2 patio tables, Huge Game room, Fireplace and so much more. Now booking Fall, Throw open the windows at night and you hear the sounds of nature all over the lodge and the river just across the road, At the lodge you can be close to town where all the restaurants are yet just up the mountain right off Scenic RT 125 so you have nature's playground outside your door but your near town. Air conditioned although you never need it! Wonderful sleeping accommodations for family and friends with 3 1/2 bathrooms, 4 bedrooms & retreat areas for sleeping! 4 levels with lofts at the top of the house we call the 'Tree Tops' because you feel like your in the top of the trees! feature's a daybed and a full bed when needed. Cathedral ceilings in the master suite, Part of the lodge has an open concept theme for spaciousness & light. In the winter heated with Radiant heated floors! baseboard and fireplace. The lodge is meant for family and close friends to enjoy time together yet have space. In our location you experience 'surprises from nature!' a baby fawn right outside the window, a lunar moth comes to visit you at breakfast time and stays all day long. The local deer like to travel along our ridge... watch and enjoy them from inside or outside the lodge! The lodge sits on 7 1/2 acres of it's own with a large front yard great for small weddings and events, a picnic table, campfire ring with FREE campfire wood provided and our very own small cattail pond nature's 'frog' habitat. The backyard of the lodge is fenced in with a flagstone patio, play cabin for little ones, grill and patio table. Moose and Bear are seen sometimes, And will be your 'own special gift' if they choose the time your here to see them with us. conveniently next to the Moosalamoo National Recreational area where you can hike, mountain bike, swim in the lake, swim in the river, fish, downhill and cross country ski and just enjoy the great outdoors as well as right off scenic rt 125 so easy to find. We are just 2 miles inside the Green Mountain National Forest! where you follow the winding road up along the breathtaking river to our lodge! so you 'feel' like your out there BUT your not.. The River Stone Lodge is a large Cabin/lodge located on 7 1/2 acres with mountain views and the river located just across the road, 4 minutes from the reservoir. River Stone Lodge has all the fun areas around it, in between Middlebury College and Breadloaf. Several seating areas throughout the house featuring leather and fabric couches/chairs and some antiques, for enjoying time with your family & friends, WIFI, and 3 smart TV'S with DVD players and The main TV has Direct TV. There is 1 king, 4 queens, 1 full, 2 twins and 1 toddler bed, as well as a portable crib. This is a 4700 square foot multilevel home with wonderful stone wall feature in the living room, Relax, and enjoy time with your family, and enjoying our new sound system in the living room and throughout the house, or just reading a good book, playing cards and or games on our whiskey barrel table and chairs all while enjoying and just soaking in the wonderful ambiance. This whimsical lodge has little touches such as a hidden room at the top of the house on the 3rd level, large windows on every floor. It is bright, warm and inviting. Fully equipped kitchen with 2 dining tables, an inviting dining room that flows into the fireplace/reading room where you can relax with a good book and glass of wine, soaking in the atmosphere while relaxing or visiting.
Enter the heartbeat of the home and FEEL the serenity & peace fullness of the living room & beautiful staircase to the 2nd level, spacious, Warm just beautiful all wood with fun & comfortable relaxing nooks and crannies to enjoy. Large glass windows and beautiful wood stairway! Off this room is the main floor Queen room and sitting area , perfect for the elderly or handicapped person not able to do too many stairs, when the glass doors are shut makes it peaceful and private or use as the sitting area to watch nature outside.. Huge windows leave you with the feeling your surrounded by the outdoors while you're inside, Throw open all the windows at night and it's like your sleeping outdoors! but in the comfort of the lodge.. A large bathroom is situated on this main floor as well.
Ascend the gorgeous staircase to a beautiful wood landing where to your left is the Master Suite open above to the cathedral ceiling, with a King poster bed, and another lounge area with extra sleeping queen bed when needed and just SPECTACULAR at night when the light is turned on the forest!. In front of you at the top of the landing are the stairs to the 3rd level of the house. Ceiling Fans throughout the lodge, spectacular lighting, and large bathrooms. The master suite has built-in dressers, a king bed with sumptuous bedding you won't want to leave! Walk into the master bath a bubbler corner tub, a double headed shower for the Ultimate shower experience. This is a retreat for a wonderful vacation experience.
Leave the master suite and up the stairway to the third floor to the Top of the World! 'Tree Tops' With amazing views out the windows this loft room is so wonderful you won't want to come down! Views out the cathedral windows and walk down the walkway to the '' skylight sleeping loft with Full bed with wonderful bedding, Desk & bookshelves. Push the bookcase and enter our secret room, with a half bath, you can hide out here all day!
Descend the stairs and walk into the family suite, with a queen bed with cozy bedding that makes you feel like your in a nest! Views out the window and off this room is the toddler tree house room, Toddler baby room for those that want the little ones right next to them but not in their own room. With the tree painted on the wall and a toddler bed and portable crib for baby and the crib can be moved if baby belongs to another :) Just for them. leave this bedroom and next is the bear bedroom with 2 twins Washer and dryer are located right near for your convenience. Next is the Queen Suite with another Queen poster bed! Again for romance and sleeping, you'll just want to snuggle down and never leave! TV's in some of the bedrooms, but you probably won't watch them much in this lovely home and fabulous surrounding area where you can hike and enjoy the great outdoors. Across from the Queen suite is the full bathroom with a Jacuzzi tub, a shower with double heads and 2 sinks.
The Lodge has a huge game room! with a Pool table, Foosball, popcorn machine and fun bar (you provide the drinks), with a large circular driveway, a campfire ring, a gas grill, and outside seating to enjoy the area especially nice in the evening when it is a quiet time , A fenced in stone backyard with flagstone patio, great for your pets and barbecuing, pergola and 7 person Hot Tub playhouse and dog house as well. Our tiny cattail frog pond to sit by and enjoy a cup of coffee out the side yard, a large front yard looking upon our mountains But you will want to go exploring as this is a gorgeous natural area all over the place! The National recreation area is 17,000 acres!, Deer and moose love this area, you might get lucky and see them. Small weddings and reunions are welcome! We provide the tables & chairs, and offer you a self catered event for those that want to do their event their self. Please inquire there is an additional event fee max number of people that we can handle.
