We were in town for the Forbes 30 Under 30 Summit, which was being held at venues across downtown Boston. Initially, I was a little skeptical about the location of this condo, being that it wasn't in downtown. However, it actually is BETTER because it wasn't downtown. We avoided all of the roadblocks, traffic, and congestion of downtown. We were close to everything. About a 8-15 minute uber ride to pretty much everything we needed to go to in downtown. The views of the Boston Harbor were so gorgeous from the patio and deck. There was so much space in the apartment, and everything was so well-decorated and thought-out. There is a basketball and tennis court directly outside---Teresa was thoughtful enough to provide a basketball and tennis racket as well. We had 4 people in our group but because we had so much space, invited 3 friends to stay with us. All 7 of us fit pretty comfortably in the house (Teresa also provided a spare full-size comfy air mattress). The pictures don't do this place justice. It's absolutely perfect. We will definitely stay here again when we come to Boston.
This house is perfect for someone with a disability that requires them to stay in a wheelchair. When I started looking for a house near Boston that had accessibility, I found it to be a daunting task. Then I found this house. There is a driveway, so you do not have to find a parking place on the street to exit the car. There is a nice ramp to the back entrance, there are two bedrooms on the mail level that are totally accessible as well a a perfect bathroom set-up.
The location to Boston was great!. We used the bus line one day, but we figured out Lyft was just as cheap with the amount of people we had. The grocery, liquor stores are within walking distance from this home.
There was a great Scottish pub that was recommended in the house literature. It was a great place to eat and enjoy each other. We even enjoyed visiting with the owner.
Most locations in Jamaica Plains had the ability to get a wheelchair into their establishment. You just had to ask. They would come out with a metal ramp that fit their facility.
This house is perfect for 7 people.
We had a great stay at this rental. The apartment was clean and has everything we needed. The building is easily accessible and public transportation is within walking distance. We would definitely recommend this apartment and would stay here again in the future!!!
Cute house with easy access to public transportation. The kitchen was well-stocked, with "equipment", so we were easily able to cook many of our own meals and save money that way. There is a nice grocery store well within walking distance. The kids LOVED feeding the fish in the fish pond and hope that we will return to this lovely house again when we return to Boston. The owners very sweetly made baby supplies available that they had in storage (i.e. a pack n' play and high chair). Overall, a wonderful experience.
Only complaints are that one child's bed was somewhat uncomfortable, and the house was rather dusty, and perhaps could have been cleaned a bit better prior to our arrival. Easy fixes.
We loved this place. Much larger space than we had expected and although quite dark and not able to naturally ventilate too much (it is a basement type condo so only a few windows) it was great respite from the 98 degrees outside and we suspect equally cosy when it's cold. Lots of good lighting. Thank you for the bottle of wine, chocolate and beauty products. Also great to have a washer/dryer when you've a long trip. Very well situated in a good area of Boston where we felt safe. Would definately stay again.
