Description

Peacock Cottage 4 star Gold Award, is based on Coity Bach Farm is a working Farm in the Heart of the Brecon Beacons.

The Farm provides stunning views of the Black Mountains and Brecon Beacons National Park, with Dark Skies & sparkling Stars.

dog, child and family friendly self catering accommodation. We are situated 1/2 mile from the village of Talybont-on-Usk with its 4 pubs, shop/cafe, post office, Monmouth to Brecon Canal, Reservoir, Waterfalls and Taff Trail, 5 miles from the market town of Brecon.

Pets welcome £25 each per holiday, payable locally.

All family members, are welcome to join in with the farm work from feeding to milking, bring your wellies, old clothes and lots of energy :)

“Peacock cottage”

We had mixed feelings about our experience at peacock cottage. The location was splendid and our host very pleasant. However, the male peacock, resident in the yard outside the house, is to be wary of. Initially we were enchanted by the almost incessant splendid display of his tail, but then we soon discovered the down side. He was very noisy, his penetrating calls from the early hours of the morning meant a disturbed sleep, and the climax came when he attacked first my daughter and then her 9 year old son, drawing blood from his leg. I have since learnt that peacocks can be very aggressive, so this might be something to look out for.
