Description

The Bethan suite is a very spacious top floor apartment, has three bedrooms, two fully tiled bathrooms, one en-suite with shower. The Bethan suite is accessed via the Lady's balcony with fantastic views of Holyhead Mountain and the surrounding headland. Walk through the bright and sunny well equipped kitchen into the lounge to experience spectacular views across the bay. The apartment is situated only a five minutes stroll from the amazing Bay at Trearddur with its blue flag beach, clear blue waters and abundance of rock pools just waiting to be explored. The beautiful, tranquil location of Trearddur Bay with its bars and restaurants serving excellent food makes for the perfect place to stay whilst discovering all that Anglesey and North Wales has to offer.

The Bethan Suite is only a ten minute drive from arguably one of the most spectacular locations on Anglesey. South Stack Lighthouse, not only can you experience breath taking views, but visit a working lighthouse. The RSPB centre here in Ellins Tower is a bird watching paradise in an amazing location.With 125 miles of coastline to explore you will experience some of the most stunning coastal scenery in the UK .

There are over five premium golf courses on the island one in Holyhead, just minutes away from the apartment and numerous water sports in the Bay.

“Very tired and unwelcoming”

I appreciate tourism has been hit really hard during the lockdowns and I completely sympathise with holiday-let property owners. However, maybe it was also an opportunity to do various jobs around a property in readiness for the big re-opening. This is where I’d put this property. It definitely is very tired and in need of an upgrade. The devil is in the detail, as the saying goes, in order to create a memorable, comfortable and relaxing holiday. This is my personal view... The bench outside was splattered with bird droppings and there are no cushions. We were greeted by a mop and bucket just inside the door. Also greeted by a nasty smell that we couldn’t eradicate. I couldn’t open the windows in the living space, nor in the main bedroom. For me, when I go on holiday, I like things ie ovens, TVs etc to be intuitive and not to have to read manuals. Never did work out the oven. It has buttons missing too. The apartment is very impersonal and unwelcoming. No recommendations by the owner as to the best beaches, best chippy, their personal suggestions of days out or restaurants.... just a stack of tatty brochures. The fridge is ancient and stank. Not even a pint of milk in there... just no thoughtfulness whatsoever about how to create a warm welcome. You have to take your own towels. There was no shower mat, so I had to use the one hand towel provided as somewhere to step out on to after my very average shower. Shower cubicle is really shoddy too. One of the duvet covers had blood stains and one of the drawers in the bedroom had hair inside (as if someone had deliberately left behind short hair cuttings). I decided not to unpack and left everything in my case. The apartment has huge potential, but it’s just not very nice at the mo. I wouldn’t recommend it. I hope the owner will take all the comments on-board and use them in a constructive way and create a more personal and welcoming holiday let. On a positive, I was allowed access to the flat before the usual check-in time, which I thought was very kind, however, I now think that’s probably because it’s been unpopular. We actually left a day early (I paid for 3 nights, but only stayed 2). Couldn’t deal with the smell in the apartment. I’m sure the owners can sort out all of this and create a magical place to stay as it deserves some TLC being in such a beautiful location.
