Description
Kishauwau Cabins is a family run cabin rental property just a 10 minute drive south of Starved Rock & Matthiessen State Parks. We are situated on 65 quiet, wooded acres on a bluff above the Vermilion River. Our cabins are nicely spaced to give everyone a sense of privacy. You will not find another rental in this area that will provide you the getaway experience we offer here. You will love being so close to the state parks to go do the hiking in the area but be able to get out of the chaos of tourists and come back to your quiet property just minutes away.
Our standard whirlpool cabins are a spacious, studio atmosphere inside. This style is for 1 couple with only 1 queen sized bed. All cabins offer full kitchens inside stocked with basic pots, pans, cooking utensils & dishes, central air/furnace heated, personal outdoor bonfire pit, picnic table & charcoal Weber grill. The bathroom boasts a huge double sized whirlpool tub for 2 adults as well as a separate shower. All cabins have a radio/CD player, TV (for DVD use only, no channel reception), coffee pot (we provide regular coffee, no creamer), toaster, refrigerator/freezer, toaster, microwave, stove/oven. This cabin style also has a covered porch with porch swing and offers a wood stove inside (for winter months only).
It is a peace and quiet getaway we offer our guests here at Kishauwau Cabins so we do expect everyone to be courteous of noise levels for their neighbors. We are not fans of outdoor music. Do to this we do have age restrictions. If you are 1 couple looking to rent each person must be 21 yrs. of age to rent with us and looking for the peace and quiet we are offering here. Anyone coming as a friends group, each person in the group must be a minimum age of 28 years of age to rent and looking for that same getaway. We do not rent to Bachelor/bachelorette parties, spring break or prom groups. We are the owners and live right on property and are involved in key exchanges & reservations so please note that we will not accept these groups.
