This is a Venetian Piano Nobile (noble floor) within a 16th Century palace facing east on the Grand Canal and facing west on the magnificent Italian style private garden, as featured on different books. We named it Rezzonico Palace as it is found right next to the 18th Century Art Museum of Cà Rezzonico and in front of Palazzo Grassi, the other landmark owned by François Pinault house of his prestigious contemporary art collection.
The area of the Dorsoduro district where the apartment is located is strategic: the Vaporetto stop (public ferry) is only 2 minutes walk away, Campo San Barnaba and Santa Margherita are lively and authentic squares of the city where can be found some of the nicest local restaurants, artisan shops and the supermarket, everything at your doorstep.
Another plus of the Rezzonico Palace is the exclusive water door accessible directly from the Grand Canal: if you land at Venice Airport and book with us a private water taxi, in only 30 minutes you will be relaxing on the sofa at home. Please be aware that the guests of this apartment can access the palace directly from the Grand Canal water entrance door during the caretaker working hours (monday to friday from 8am to 6pm) and only upon his availability during week-ends and nights, please enquire for further information.
The house is located at the first floor above the garden, laid out on roughly 200 square meters and composed of a huge living and dining area inundated with light through the beautiful "Trifora" (arched windows), a fully fitted kitchen, two bathrooms and three bedrooms. The master bedroom is particularly spacious, has a large window with view on the garden and gallery reachable through a nice wooden stairway used as an office. The other two bedrooms can be either twin or double (please specify how you want them when enquiring) and all of them benefit from integral privacy being located on different sides of the apartment.
The entire apartment features high ceilings, terrazzo Veneziano flooring and classic style furniture. In particular the living room is adorable in the afternoon when the sun shines on the garden and flood with light the sitting room where you can enjoy an exclusive tea break with garden view. Every room has air conditioning and there is Wi-Fi internet connection.
Another good reason to stay at Rezzonico Palace is the possibility to access the courtyard and the garden: the former is almost completely sheltered by a century old wisteria particularly enjoyable in spring when the purple flowers bloom, the latter is one of the most prestigious private open spaces found in the entire city, as you can see from the aerial view in the image gallery. The guest of this residence are allowed to use them on request. The gate is closed on week-ends as only the caretaker has the key. please enquire for further information.
If your group need more rooms, at the ground floor of this palace are available other two smaller apartment: the former is 70 square meters, composed of an elegant living room with Grand Canal view and a double pull-out sofa, one double bedroom, one bathroom, a large kitchen with table for four people; the latter is a studio apartment with two single bed, a bathroom and a basic kitchen. In total the Rezzonico Palace give comfortably hospitality to 12 people. Please enquire for availability and rates.
Additional amenities include: iron & ironing board, hairdryer, microwave/grill, interconnecting apartment, central location, bathtub, very spacious....Read more

Truly Venice provided wonderful service both in the booking of the apartment and in the care we received whilst in Venice. The flat was all it was promised to be on the website and very clean and well maintained. The location is extremely good in our opinion, Dorsoduro being our favourite district in Venice. The access to the garden was a huge bonus and the views over the garden from the flat were absolutely lovely. Highly recommended.

We were 6 adults: 2 parents and their grown-up sons and partners.
We were met punctually and warmly, all the facilities were shown to us. The flat was bigger than we expected, so we were all accommodated very comfortably. The location couldn't be better - by the Grand Canal, but not right on it which might be noisy. The garden is an oasis of calm. Lots of good restaurants nearby. We all loved it and had a great holiday together.
"A quiet light apartment - an ideal place to stay."

We were welcomed by a representative of Truly Venice and all the amenities pointed out. It was a great help to have three sets of keys so our group could come and go from the apartment independently. The accommodation was superb, particularly the main living room with the large windows overlooking the beautiful garden, and the two main bedrooms.
Its location was perfect near to a vaporetto stop and to the main tourist attractions and yet peaceful and with good restaurants.
The garden was a huge bonus as a place to sit in and also giving tha apartment a light, airy and private feel as not directly overlooked by other buidings.
We felt we could have easily stayed for longer!

We were lucky enough to stay at Rezzonico for 2 weeks at the beginning of June. The apartment is enormous and perfectly laid out for privacy as well as family time - we were travelling with my parents and our 6-year-old son. There is a fantastic supermarket around the corner and there were often days where we didn't use the vaporetto at all as everything we wanted was within easy walking distance. The apartment is not so fancy-pants as to make you uncomfortable curling up on the couch with a good book, but still unique enough and old and glamorous enough to make you feel as if you are living like a Venetian! The garden is magnificent, and Fernando-the-caretaker was always helpful and welcoming. And there are tiny turtles in the garden!!
I cannot recommend this place enough, although I don't want to - I feel like we owned a little bit of Venice while we stayed there, and don't want to share it! Book it now!!!

We had a great stay at the Rezzonico Palace apartment. The apartment is exactly as described, and the booking agency we used, truelyveniceapartments.com was very professional and helpful-and a special "thanks so much!" to Daniela and Letizia for their hard work making us comfortable!
About the apartment: The main room/library/dining room is a really beautiful "L" shape, with a tall ceiling and windows across the entire wall. It is spacious and comfortable with a great view over the formal gardens that we never tired of looking at. And, it is surprisingly very quiet! Previous stays in Venice have always been accompanied by people walking (and talking) outside the windows at all hours of the day and night-you sort of get used to it when you stay anywhere near St. Marks. This place allows for open windows (except for the mosquitoes!) and to be undisturbed. The bedrooms are large and comfortable with only one of six guests thinking that one of the beds was a bit hard. The kitchen is comfortable and well-stocked with glasses, plates, pots and utensils. We were quite easily able to create really beautiful meals with no trouble at all-and we were able to serve them on the nicely sized round table which fit us all comfortably. The six of us were able to relax quite comfortably in this spacious apartment and would not hesitate to return for another visit.
The location is top notch, close to the Campo Santa Margherita and is right next to the Rezzonico vaporetto stop-although you do have to walk around the Rezzonico museum to get to it. It could have not been better located. We used the unlimited weekly vaporetto pass available at the hellovenezia.it site to get around. For shopping, there is a supermarket right in Santa Margherita and the Rialto market is only a couple of vaporetto stops away.
"We had a fabulous time and the Palazzo fitted the grandeur and c"

The apartment was grand and beautiful.
The service from Fernando was excellent. When there were problems with heating and a light bulb he was most helpful.
- the towels were rather thin/hard
- I found extra linen and pillows after a night with very hard pillows
- on arrival some tea bags and biscuits or basket of fruit or some kind gesture would really help after a long journey. We have had this on many other rentals and the small gift means a lot. We had to go out immediately and find a supermarket before we could even have a drink.

We rented Rezzonico Palace for Carnivale. The bedrooms are beautiful, living room is bright and spacious & it is an affordable option for parties of 3+ that would have to book 2 +hotel rooms to accommodate. My fave thing was the stunning garden. Even in a snowstorm it had a blossoming rose. It is situated close to accademia. Vaparetto stop is right around the corner and the strolls to San Marco & Rialto are very pleasant. The area is more residential than touristy, which we loved. Also a cute black cat resides in the building, always seeking a treat. Some issues: Arrival water taxi booked with renter never showed. Upon airport arrival, I called number on confirmation and was told to go to the dock. There was ice on the lagoon & we were told no taxis had come through as a result. After30min a non-affiliated taxi showed up & took us. Should have been told on the phone our driver wasn't coming. Upon arrival, greeter was friendly & informative about the area. We were taken to the wrong apartment & after he called the office, we were brought to the right one. Venice experienced a brutal winter. Bedrooms were freezing. My dad slept in his hat & gloves 2 nights. I reported it, the owner came & responded that the radiators were hot. Yes, they were burning, but the space didn't get any warmer. The living room and kitchen warmed after 2 days, but the bedrooms stayed frigid. Sleeping in an icy room for 10 days was hard on our elders. Sometimes water was cold in the shower too. We kept having to e-mail for toilet paper/towels as no supply was kept in the apt. Finally, we went to a Carnivale ball that was a 5min walk away, a few buildings up on the Grand Canal. It had a dramatic water entrance & suggested we arrive by taxi for it. Asked rental office to book & was told it was 80E one way. It is 100E to the airport, but 80 to go around the corner? I checked with ball organizers, an online water taxi site & a shop owner and all of them said that rate should have been 30-40E.

This is good base for visiting Venice. It's central and and quiet with the great advantage of a garden. The apartment is spacious and light. There are two good size bedrooms and a smaller one. Arriving from the airport by water taxi to the entrance on the Grand Canal is a special experience. The drawback was the limited water supply to one bathroom and the run down appearance of the other. In fact the first bathroom had no water when we arrived, this had to be switched on so clearly there had been recurring problems. Not something you expect in a premium site.

The apartment is in a wonderful situation - so good to arrive by taxi at the water gate. We four were very comfortable but sadly we were not able to use the splendid garden very often due to the rain. We were given excellent advise about restaurants and were able to eat very well at many small establishments in the area. Do book! The local supermarket was closed for refurbishment the week we were there but we know from past experience that is good. My birthday treat was The Marriage of Figaro at the Fenice. Wonderful!

The Rezzonico Palace apartment was just right for our family that included 1 7-year old. Apartment was well-appointed and located close to vaporetto stop in a less touristy area of Venice. Daniela was responsive to our needs and communication during rental process was good. Had to wait over an hour to check in because agent was busy with another rental.

Rezzonico Palace is a really great place to stay. The location on the Grand Canal in the Dorsoduro is perfect for exploring by foot or Vaparetto. The apartment is beautiful, large, bright and really comfortable. The kitchen and the bathrooms are basic but functional. The large airy living room is delightful. The bedrooms have comfortable beds and plenty of space and the garden is really fabulous. I would not hesitate to recommend this as a truly special place to rent in a magical city.

Grand in style and in a special location, a wonderful place to spend our first holiday in Venice. The apartment is spacious and well-appointed (although if fully self-catering, the kitchen could be better equipped). Fabulous views and you certainly feel a part of the heart of Venice. Would we go back? 100% yes, which says it all.

Wonderful service and advice from the staff, both before arrival and upon arrival. The place we originally reserved had a last minute problem before we arrived, but we were accommodated by being offered a choice of several other places, and ended up in what we felt was the perfect place. We were met by the representatives as planned, with easy phone contact, and had no problems whatsoever. We would stay with Truly Venice again in a minute!
