“Fantastic”

Lovely cottage just what we needed, great location 30 minutes walk into Whitby and 10 minutes walk to the Windmill Inn which does great pub food with very friendly staff. Definitely recommend and we have already booked the lodge with the hot tub.

“Wonderful Christmas stay”

Reviewed 27 Dec 2022

We stayed at abbey view for 3 nights from Christmas Eve and really enjoyed it. Lovely location, nice quant cottage and spacious open living space. The heating was on when we arrived which was nice! There are signs of wear at the property however we didn’t mind that as we have young children and would be on edge about breakages if not and frankly for circa £100 per night you have to expect that! Quiet surroundings despite there being farmyard animals (which added to the ambiance!) and a distant view of the abbey. 5 minute drive into the main Whitby town centre. Would stay again

“Family of 6”

Reviewed 18 Aug 2022

The house was in a lovely area, so peaceful didn’t need to go to the pub as it felt so lovely to sit outside on the benches with our dog running free. The house is basic I didn’t like the cobwebs if it had a lick of paint and cobwebs gone it would be amazing, but it’s old so to be expected I suppose, the beds were so comfy they have a bath but shower is not really usable unless u are happy with a trickle which. We did, Overall it was ok, the area made it better. And a lovely games room next door to play pool which was lovely. If u want a cheap stay go for it because it sleeps 6 and I searched for ages nothing came up as cheap. And a park 2 steps from your house overall I would give it a 7/10

I stayed at abbey view for the weekend. It's a nice little cottage. I stayed with my wife 2 kids and dog there was plenty of room and the cottage was well looked after. A nice quiet relaxing stay with plenty to do nearby. Would recommend to anyone wanting a relaxing break.

“Abby view and seabreeze”

Reviewed 21 Jul 2020

We had a lovely weekend. There is everything that you need . We met the gentleman who owns the properties he was very nice and very helpful. The place is tranquil but at the same time a great place for children. My grandchildren cried when they had to leave. My only criticism is that the the cottages could do with a really good dusting cobwebs everywhere. To be honest it didn't bother me to take a quick duster over the place. Wonderful had my all.

“Farm cottage Abbey view”

Reviewed 18 Apr 2019

The location of the cottage was lovely but no view of the Abbey apart from s very badly painted " mural" on the lounge wall. The cottage is a converted farm building. It was extremely grubby and dusty We needed to wash all the glasses and crockery before use. Lots of cobwebs. The carpet was full of probably dog hair. We found some fingernails behind the sofa back cushion. The bath was dirty. The shower attachment wasn't attached. The twin room upstairs had one bed under the beams so if you slept there you could easily bang your head. The games room- wasn't!! There was a pool table with no balls and a football table also with no balls. Good points, a nice safe play area for children, slso sheep and pigs that were very friendly. Peacocks and peahens a nice surprise. Not too far from Whitby, 10 mins drive. A reasonable family pub ditching 5 minutes. Enjoyed our stay but the place would improve with cleaning and updating
