Description
Anstis Cottage is located along the banks of the River Esk, just 20 minutes walk from Whitby and surrounded by beautiful countryside.
The cottage benefits from a spacious, contemporary interior and is equipped to a high standard.
The layout includes entrance hall with W/C, living room with french doors overlooking the old viaduct, lovely kitchen with dining room and french doors to the rear of the cottage.
On the first floor there are two double bedrooms with fitted wardrobes, one twin room with bunkbeds and a bright and airy bathroom with bath and shower. The main bedroom has french doors and a balcony with views of the River Esk.

“Nice location with lovely views”
Cottage is located in a lovely quiet area with lovely views of moors at the rear and the larpool viaduct from the front. Easy to get to, although we recommend coming in from the Whitby end as the roads are a little wider. Nice central location and most of the big attractions are less than an hour away. Whitby is 7 mins away by car. If you do go to Whitby I recommend the park and ride and the open top bus, this is an all day ticket and you can hop on and off the bus at the various stops. The accommodation is a good size and has everything you need for your stay.

“Perfect”
Great place with everything you need, fantastic views of the viaduct and across the valley, deck/grass area out back for relaxing outside in sunny weather, nice easy walk along the cinder track to town and back.

“Fab home from home”
We spent 7 days here and I could happily have spent longer, its like a home away from home everything you could ever want and need, Alison the owner was letting us know of any issues before we arrived. The cottage is in the perfect area just a short walk to whitby down the cinder track across the viaduct, 10-15 mins max. The view out the back is unreal and so much wildlife. The riverside is very pretty down a very steep road to watch the steam train come past every hour at 7 mins past the hour. Only down side is there's 2 play parks and a pool but your not aloud access too them unless you stay with hoseasons which is a bit rubbish when staying so close, overall we'd Happy stay again in a heart beat.
