Description

This delightful, bright and spacious cottage has been fully modernised and equipped to high standards. It is lovingly cared for by the owners making it a real home from home. Located within easy walking distance of the town centre and beach the cottage's special attraction is it's elevated position which provides wonderful views of Whitby harbour, the Abbey and the North York Moors.

The cottage has a small but well equipped kitchen and separate utility room complete with washing machine and additional fridge, a sitting/dining room, three bedrooms, bathroom and small sitting out area. It is cosy and warm with gas central heating, a gas cast iron stove and double glazing. In the open plan sitting room there is plenty of seating for five people and a flat screen TV with digital TV recorder and DVD player. There are various DVDs, books and games available.

The main bedroom has a double brass bed and stunning views across the harbour from one window and over the moors from the other. The second bedroom is a twin with adult size beds and the third room is a single. Both rooms have views of the harbour or moors. The bathroom has a bath with shower, WC and wash basin.

Outside is a small pretty garden area with a bench for relaxing in the sunshine. There is also garden furniture for al fresco dining.

Getting around

The best way to see the area is by car. There is free parking on the road near the cottage. The steam railway is a wonderful tourist attraction running through the beautiful landscape of the North Yorks Moors with steam trains regularly leaving from Whitby station.

Really enjoyed this cosy cottage. Well equipped, clean and comfortable. Conveniently located to walk into Whitby. Great pub a few minutes down the steps. Lovely cliff top walk to Robin Hoods Bay.
