“Comfortable stay with minor issues” The home was cozy and nice -- the large dining table and open layout were great. We did have two issues. One was with the hot water and water pressure. Management was quick to send some to address the problem but the water temperature of the upstairs bathroom was still variable afterwards. Also, information provided indicated that the long, steep driveway would be plowed but it was not. The number provided to contact the plowing service was incorrect and it took some effort to find the correct number. However, the driveway was cleared and well-sanded early the next morning before we needed to head out. In the future, I would appreciate that basics like water pressure and temperature be checked prior to us checking in. All in all, I would stay again.

“Year after Year!” Spruce Pond Haven has been our winter getaway for the past six years, it's something we look forward to each December. The house is immaculate, well stocked and convenient to both town and the mountain. Great layout with 4 large bedrooms, comfortable living room, huge dining room and well equipped kitchen. Entertainment system, fireplace and hot tub are easy to use. In a beautiful park-like setting overlooking a private pond. Highly recommended place to stay in Stowe!

“I love this house” We rented this house for 4 months from June through October in 2013. My wife and I had just retired. We have stayed here for much shorter periods as vacations, so we were familiar with the house. It is very peaceful and quiet with a wonderful view to the west from the front porch. It is a mile up a steep dirt road, so less desirable in the in winter months. The house is not fancy, but neat and clean with lots of room with 4 bedrooms for visitors. There is nothing finer than sitting with a cup of coffee in front of the fireplace. The owner always leaves plenty of wood. The kitchen is simple, but it has everything you need. Using the dehumidifier does truly help to keep the basement level dry and comfortable. This is a great place to enjoy all that Stowe has to offer. The owner is genuinely helpful and eager to make your stay a good one.

“A Vermont Dream” From the moment we drove up the driveway we could tell we were about to be a part of a dream weekend. We stayed the first weekend of March and everything was covered with a fresh coat of snow. The home feels very secluded and away from the hustle and bustle of Stowe. When you walk in, you are immediately amazed at how clean and perfect everything is. The house is decorated just like you would imagine the perfect Vermont setting would be. The beds were all very comfortable. The fireplace was wonderful. The game room downstairs... amazing. We went with the intentions of eating out a few times, but found it much more charming to shop and cook in because we enjoyed our time at the home so much. We just came back from our weekend away and we're already planning a re-do in the summer for hiking!

“Cozy log home” Beautiful private location just outside the town of Stowe. Short drive to grocery store. Easy access to ski hill and other outdoor activities. Rustic log home with large loft, plus main floor and basement bedrooms. Clean and well maintained with new carpets and modern bathrooms. Kitchen was small but adequate. Only negative was the water pressure was low, especially when showering. Spiral staircase would be difficult for older occupants.

“Wonderful stay at this beautiful cabin - lots to do nearby.” We recently stayed at this beautiful cabin. It's wonderfully decorated and the view of the mountain range is astonishing. We spent our mornings relaxing on the beautiful deck area which overlooks the mountains. The area shops at Stowe (5-10 minutes away) are just as beautiful. Many nice places to eat, visit, shops, stores and things do to kept us busy the entire time we were there. Amazing how secluded we felt in our cabin, you wouldn't think Stowe would be a stone's throw away! It was just wonderful in every respect and the renters were simply amazing to deal with. Wonderful people! There was enough room and privacy for our entire family to enjoy! We highly suggest!

“Wonderful condo in Stowe,VT perfect for a family of five.” Our family stayed at the Stonybrook Retreat over the December break. The condo was immaculate and well stocked with all the amenities. It was the perfect place to return to after a day on the slopes. We definitely plan to return next year.

“Lovely House in a Great Location” I've been to Stowe a few times. Geographically speaking, it's a fairly large and spread out area with homes all over the place. This house was perfectly located a short 2 minute drive form downtown Stowe. It's also on the Waterbury side, which makes for a shorter trip over there. The house was very clean and modern, while still maintaining the charm of a Vermont country home. It was fully stocked with everything you'd need (linens, dishes, paper products, cleaning supplies, etc). The layout was unique, as you come in at ground level and the multiple floors eventually give way to an open kitchen/dining/common area. There was also a loft on this top floor, which would be great fun for kids. One important thing to note - there are a lot of stairs. You have to go up a bunch of stairs to get from the driveway to the house, and then within the house you're constantly going up and down the stairs due to the layout. It's by no means exhausting, but just be prepared to get a little more exercise than you would probably expect. Also - bring your bug spray if you're sitting outside after dark! I'd strongly recommend this house for either a couple or a family. Great value in a very nice home in an excellent location.

“beautiful house in a wonderful setting” I'd rent it again for our group, but you've got a septic problem - there's a distinct odor of sewage when you're standing outside the front door.
