Description

Located at the top of a historical listed building, the apartment is also right next door to the birthplace of the infamous Guy Fawkes. So you are immediately immersed in the history of the city. It's also incredibly well positioned too. Just stepping out of the door puts you within a two minute walk of all the attractions in the city and also the renowned shopping streets of Stonegate and Low Petergate are literally on the doorstep.

There are many period features on show within the apartment that are apparent as soon as you open the door. They are also very nicely complimented by the choice of furnishings throughout. There is a stylish galley kitchen complete with electric oven and hob and also a dining table to seat up to 4 for dinner. The lounge area also has a wall mounted LCD TV where you can relax with a luxury coffee from the coffee machine provided.

The bedroom has a stunning view of York Minster, you feel like you can reach out and touch it. The bed can also be made up as a double or a twin. There is also a very modern looking shower room located opposite the bedroom.

Parking is available at a garage about a 2-3 minute walk away. Please note the garage is probably not big enough for a larger Range Rover style car.

“Romantic weekend in York”

A unique and quirky apartment to holiday in. Full of original wood and architecture of York, with a nice neutral design. Complimented by beatiful views. Small issue with cleaners being late on our arrival delaying the property about ninety minutes. However, it was very well cleaned and the place felt fresh and homely when they were finished. If you are over 5"10' you may find a stay longer than a week a little tricky. The position of the apartment in York is perfect, as it is about ten minutes from the main squares and Shambles. And a stones throw from the York Minster, which can be clearly seen via the bedroom window. There are alot of stairs to climb to reach the apartment but it didn't bother my partner and I. Very comfortable large bed, with fresh linin and we were welcomed with a selection of teas and confectionary. The Sunday we were woken by the sounds of the Minster bells and the organ playing which we found fantastic and romantic. Lovely note to end our stay in York. Perhaps this would not be to everyones taste. Overall a great city break that we shall repeat.
