Description

Hendersons is a modern, 3 bedroom luxury town house set over 3 floors. It is perfect for couples, family or friends who want to be close to the centre of York. It is a 5 minute walk from York Railway Station and a 10 minute walk to the City Walls. Free allocated parking is provided outside the front door. Business travellers would find it suitable for an extended stay in the area.

There are 3 bedrooms. On the top floor there is a master bedroom with super- king bed and en-suite (Mira shower, bath, WC and basin). On the first floor there is a double bedroom with 2 standard single beds, a further bedroom with one standard single bed and a family bathroom. There is a hairdryer in the master bedroom and twin bedroom, all towels and linen are supplied along with complimentary toiletries. A cot, high chair and baby barrier are available for younger guests. Please note no linen is supplied for the cot.

On the ground floor there is a fully equipped kitchen with ceramic hob, electric oven, fridge freezer, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. All cleaning materials including washing up liquid are supplied. A welcome pack of tea, coffee, biscuits, sugar and milk are provided along with a complementary bottle of wine for your enjoyment.

The main lounge has a communal seating area, HD television with DVD player and ROKU media device . There is free super-fast WiFi throughout the property, a communal fire detection system and internal intruder alarm. Emergency torches with nightlights are located on both landings. The enclosed pleasant courtyard garden is reached from the lounge through French doors- there is a gas barbecue, table and chairs and retractable washing line.

A free allocated parking space is located outside the front door.

The property is only a 10-12 minute walk from the city centre in a quiet, residential area. The iconic National Railway Museum is on the doorstep and York Railway Station is only a 5 minute walk away.There is also a bus stop located by the National Railway Museum should you prefer not to walk which will take you to the City Centre in minutes. A Hertz car hire depot is located next to the Railway Museum. For younger guests there is a road train which runs from the Railway Museum to the Minster during Spring and Summer months.

The nearest large supermarkets are Tesco Extra (Clifton Moor), Sainsbury's (Foss Court), Waitrose (Foss Island) and there are several smaller supermarket express stores in the town. Alternatively you could order online as all major stores will deliver to the property.

York offers everything a traveller could wish for- a history dating back to Roman times, world class museums and galleries, some of the best shopping outside of London, a huge range of cafes and restaurants and a vibrant night life to rival any European city.

Getting around

The house is just a few minutes’ walk from the National Railway Museum and York Railway Station. A 10 minute walk will take you to the many shops, restaurants, bars, cafes and visitor attractions in the city centre.

“Perfect place to stay!”

Great communication from Dawn throughout. A great house where everything had been thought of to make the stay perfect. Beautiful house - clean, warm and comfortable. Added extras like bathroom products and a lovely welcome pack were really appreciated. A 5 minute walk from York station and probably 10-15 into the centre.
