“Brilliant house for a family holiday”

Reviewed 13 Oct 2019

I did not know this part of Wales at all before this holiday and the scenery and sense of remoteness in the hills is wonderful. Red kites seemed to be everywhere! The weather was not the best but we did get out for at least a part of the day most days. We also visited the Borth zoo and the Vale of Rheidol railway which were a big hit with the children - and their parents and grandparents as well. The childrens toys and books were much appreciated, particularly by the family which came by boat and train and weren't able to fill a car with stuff. The weather meant that little use was made of the outdoor play equipment but its great to have it there. I've seldom seen a kitchen so well equipped in a holiday home. The table tennis table was well used by all of us. John was the perfect host and sent us lots of detailed information before our stay and even phoned the evening of our arrival to check that all was OK! Overall it was definitely a five star experience and I very much hope that we will return.

“Easter Family Hols”

Reviewed 21 Apr 2019

I booked this house to accommodate my children and grandchildren for our Easter holiday. It was perfect very clean and spacious. The house was fully equipped with everything you needed I took my slow cooker but there was one already there. Shower gel, washing powder, dishwasher tabs etc were all provided too. Outside area was great for the kids to let of steam and for the adults to unwind, plenty of garden furniture and a bbq. The surrounding area has lots of places to visit and I would recommend Devils Bridge for beautiful views and a stop at the pub for a cream tea after the walk. The children loved fantasy farm for hands on fun with the baby animals and Borth Beach was lovely too. Would definitely return as it was a great place to bring all the family together but big enough to find a quiet place if you wanted to escape for a bit!
