Description from the manager
"Humpy"
(Every cabin is named after a fly pattern.)
This cabin has undergone a recent remodel and since then, it's a hard one to get into because it's booked all the time! The interior has all new furniture, appliances, floors, windows and fixtures. It feels more like a home than a mountain cabin, providing lots of elbow room and all the conveniences of a home. The upstairs loft is a large open room with 2 queen size beds. It is a full size loft (an adult can stand fully) and there is plenty of space for belongings.

This was our third stay with Three Rivers. It is such a pleasure to be treated like family and the facility is beautiful. The folks at Three Rivers take care of your every whim and truly cater to whatever your specific needs are. On our last stay, we decided to move one of the beds from upstairs to downstairs to make a huge bed. Upon our departure, we were told that they would move the bed upstairs and did not charge us a dime. We can always count on these folks and look forward to seeing them and staying in "our" cabin. Sweet, charming, comfortable cabin. You could not ask for anything more. The almont Restaurant directly across the street is delightful and serves excellent food in an ambient environment. Nicest people I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with, in respect to cabin rentals. And Crested Butte is beautiful, relaxing, and charming in every sense.

This was a very nice cabin and plenty big enough for our family of five. It had pretty much anything that we could have needed for our stay, although, a crockpot would be a nice addition!! I also wish there would have been some chairs on the front porch, so that we could have sat out there and enjoyed the beautiful weather. But, that being said, it was a great cabin and we would definitely rent it again!!!

Our stay was great, except for having to move from a really nice cabin to a moderate cabin. It was still nice but a let down from the cabin we stayed in for three nights because someone was still in our cabin and hadn't checked out. I would think you would of made them move into something else instead of letting them stay and have them feel the pain of moving. However, cabin 26 was very nice...just kind of a let down to move to cabin 31 which is where we were supposed to be in the first place.

this was a beautiful cabin we rented for my brother's wedding. we stayed for a week and shared the large space with another brother, his wife and two kids. we had plenty of privacy and space. the staff at the resort were amazing! very lovely, except for one gal in the main desk area who was incredibly rude and worthless in helping me (from out of state), by simply pointing out or selling me a map of the neighboring cities. I couldn't believe her temperament as everyone else, from check in to kayak & paddle board rentals were so amazingly accommodating.
the wedding was perfection, although they made us close up at 9 instead of the previously agree upon 10pm which was unfortunate. we were having the best time dancing and playing in the play fields beside the bingo house.
all and all, if they sort the rude folks out of their midst, I'd give this place a 100%, but since they have more than two jerks on their payroll, I have to drop theirs ore down according to their lowest members. -

I would have liked to spend more time at cabin. We travel there to ride aTV at Taylor Reservoir. The road construction was a hindrance but understand. Location of cabin was good for parking.

Left on 06/27/2012 for a stay in June 2012
We (family of 4) stayed in this unit for two nights. It is very spacious and had everything you would need for a long stay. Overall we were pleased, but I guess the price was a little high for what you get. The devil was in the details, as seems to be the norm with smaller privately owned places. A ceiling fan did not work and was covered in dust. There were spider webs, and each morning I had to kill a dozen spiders that seemed to infest the bathroom. I didn't tell my wife or she would have freaked out. We had a plumbing issue the first day and got the pleasure of using a plunger to fix it. There is no a/C and by the evening the cabin was hot! Two sweaty nights of sleep followed. The front yard area was just dirt. The restaurant on site was a little expensive, but the location was worth it. The guys in the fly-shop were alot of help. Do yourself a favor and rent a unit right on the river.

The cabin was nice and clean. The one bathroom was somewhat inconvenient as we had four of us, two male and two females. As usual, internet connection would have been handy but it was also a relief. Proprietors were very pleasant and helpful. The mountain lions in the yard were an exciting feature (Just kidding, but they were reported to be around.).

We enjoyed the stay at 3 Rivers the location, resort, and service were fantastic. The guys in the fly shop were very helpful with tips and places to fish. The cabin was very nice with plenty of room for three guys and all their gear. My only complaint is that when we first got in the cabin there was a musty smell, but once we opened the windows it dissipated and was not an issue.

just a couple of things needed fixing in the cabin. The wood blinds were broken in one of the bedrooms so the sun woke us up every morning too early! The window crank was missing from the kitchen window so we could not open it which made for a very hot environment in the kitchen when working in there.

We have stayed and played at Three Rivers Resort for roughly 25 years. This year like always we were treated to a great memorable experience. The staff including rafting and ducky guides, their on site dining, fly shop, and front desk were super and always energic, friendly and helpful. Our stays are rewarded with lifetime memories.

My friends and I had a very nice stay. The cabin was very comfortable. I hope I will be able to come back with more of my family and participate in more activities available in the area. This was a scouting trip to see what the area was like. We only stayed here for three nights. It is definitely an area I want to return to and stay longer thanks to the accommodations and staff at Three Rivers Resort.

We are grandparents who stayed at the Three Rivers Resort with our teenage granddaughters. It's such a beautiful area. So peaceful! My husband enjoyed the fishing. The girls had fun with other kids staying at the cabins. Their favorite thing was the rafting trip. I enjoyed the peace and quiet of the cabin and finished reading a whole book! Sorry we were only able to enjoy the area for two days. We plan to stay again when we can take more time.

We all really enjoyed Cabin 26... wonderfully decorated. It was spacious for the 3 of us, with all the comforts of home. The kitchen was well equipped. It would have been nice if there was a hair dryer in the bathroom and teflon frying pan in the kitchen (eggs stick awful to the pans provided).

We wanted rustic with amenities and found it! We stayed in Cabin 26 (Three Rivers Resort) and loved it. The cabin was modern (dishwasher, microwave, flat screen satellite TV; hot tub within two cabins) and a staff that was absolutely wonderful and accommodating helping us make the most of our skiing and site seeing experience.

We truly enjoyed our stay in cabin 26 (Humpy). it was newly remodeled and was very nice. I grew up in Almont and still have family in the area. Mark knew my grandmother and treated us like family. We had a great experience and we can't wait to come back this summmer. We had great views of the big horn sheep feeding in te morning and the skylights lookking up into the mountain behind our cabin were awesome. We got quite a bit of snow while we were there but the resort staff was out at 3 am plowing the snow so we could get out each morning.

Wonderful cabin! The staff was kind enough to upgrade us at no additional cost in to cabin 26 when there was a problem with the original cabin we reserved. I've been coming to Three Rivers for years now and it just gets better and better!!!

Had a wonderful time, very quiet and peaceful atmosphere. The scenery is beautiful and there is a lot to do outdoors. The employees were there to help with every request, even when we wanted to go rafting in 40 degree temps. Every activity we wanted to do on our trip was made possible by the staff and at a reasonable price. The cabin was amazing, it provided that home like setting that allowed us to feel more relaxed. Everything needed to prepare meals was provided which was nice, my wife and I could cook for each other which is something we enjoy. Rather then going out to a crowded restaurant and spending more money for something you could do yourself for less. The only negative thing I could say about the cabin is that the wood of either the cabinets or of the cabin itself had an unpleasant/strong odor; only noticeable when you first walk in after being gone a while. Overall my wife and I had a great time staying there and would definitely come back again.

We couldn't be more pleased with our stay at Three Rivers Resort. We went the second week of September and the leaves were just changing. The salmon were running and my husband had lots of practice fly fishing. The Taylor River is beautiful and so is the Spring Creek area. I took lots of beautiful pictures. The cabin was perfect and we always had clean towels. The location is wonderful, right in the most perfect valley in Colorado. We will be back soon and I'm dreaming of sitting by the Taylor River reading a book. I will never forget this trip. Thanks!
