Stayed in cabin by the river. Very relaxing sitting on the deck listening to the river running. Hot tub was a blessing after a day of hiking. Cabin was beautiful, nice rooms and kitchen served its purpose very well. Restaurant serves very good food. I would definitely stay there again.

This was our 3rd trip to Three Rivers and we'll return. We stayed there 3 nights over Christmas. Love the cabins on the river - beautiful setting, well equipped, great kitchen, convenient location and friendly & helpful management. Our only complaint is that the cabin badly needs some furniture upgrades. The sofa/futon in the living area is worn out and uncomfortable for sitting or sleeping. Could also use a new and larger area rug.

Our stay at Cabin 20 was an amazing getaway. Sitting in the hot tub under a full moon listening to the river rolling by was definitely a hilight. The service was great, the cabin was cozy, the scenery was beautiful, and it was pet friendly. Couldn't tell you about the TV reception as there wasn't any desire to try it out. Definitely planning a return visit.

Recently I stayed at 3R in cabin 20 and it was a very happy experience. The cabin was great and the hot tub on the deck overlooking the river was just plain awesome. All the people at 3R were friendly and helpful particularly Dennis in the flyshop who gave us great info and tips for fishing the Hog Trough.3R has everything you need from laundry facility to sundry items and the staff goes out of their way tobe helpful.Cant wait to go back. Thanks 3R

Left on 07/12/2012 for a stay in June 2012
It had been many years since my previous visit. The improvements were terrific. The screened in porch was just what the place needed, the hot tub an added bonus. Inside, the vanities in each bedroom were great, as we were sharing with another couple. Upgraded appliances were top notch, the cabin was clean and cozy.

The remodeled cabins are fanastic. Very good job. All the conveniences one would want. My family rented 5 cabins this year, but we've rent up to 9. It's a good place to "camp", especially with little ones. Hope to see you next year.

Cabin 20 was wonderful and clean when we arrived.
The kitchen had everything one needs and the spa and BBQ pit was right out the door.
The porch was nice at night when the bugs came out. -

I loved the cabin, it felt like a brand new cabin as if I was the first one to rent ot out. Me and and my friends had a great time and coming back to this beautiful cabin was very relaxing after a long day of snowboarding at crested Butte coming back to this cabin hit the spot everytime, and they had a very friendly staff.

The Family Tradition
Colorado Springs, Co.Annual September Stay
Left on 10/05/2011 for a stay in September 2011
We have been staying at Three Rivers every September for the past 15 years. It allows my children, grandchildren and myself a chance to spend quality time together in a very majestic setting. The fishing is always spectacular, the scenery beautiful and the people always friendly and welcoming. My grandchildren now put going to the "cabin" up there with Christmas. This year they couldn't get to sleep the night before because they were so excited. Thanks for helping us establish such a great family tradition!

The check in was smooth and helpful. The cabin was clean and nicely updated. The screened porch and deck with hot tub overlooking the river were nice amenities. It was good to have a TV in the cabin on a rainy afternoon. The only problem was that our vacation didn't last long enough. Very nice place to stay.

Three Rivers Resort is a great place to fish, relax, and make memories. Add a fly shop, full service restaurant, and excellent guides, and you have the complete package.
A couple of things that might be added, maybe a window aC unit, when it gets really warm in the middle of the day and and wireless internet because it's fairly indispensable in 2011. -

Left on 08/17/2011 for a stay in July 2011
All in all we found our cabin (20) very nice. As a professional landscape architect I would urge you to do more plantings, using native plants, especially around the unpaved parking lots and in some cases between cabins. In addition, as a fly fisherman, I think some improvements, in the form of selective clearing of vegetation, could be made to make access to the Taylor River easier from the cabins along East Taylor Drive. A narrow trail paralleling the stream along with some railroad tie steps from some of the cabins is what I am suggesting.
And lastly, we found our cabin (20) lacking a couple of items such as wine glasses and small juice size glasses along with a small microwave oven. That's about it. Thanks again,
Richard and Penny Forsyth

The cabin was just spectacular. It was unbelievable to sit on the deck as we watched the Taylor River rush by! Sitting in the hot tub on a starry night was, well, quite relaxing. The cabin was very neat and tidy.

Albany, CANice cabin; clueless management/no recycling but nature-based
Left on 07/10/2011 for a stay in July 2011
Since our family has a history at Taylor River, we appreciate being able to stay in the riverfront cabins, but during our two visits (2011 and 2007) we were amazed at the cluelessness of the many people at the front desk. They're also bizarrely high priced for a complete lack of service/housecleaning, which most places like this offer at least every 3 days. This time we called from the road and asked about the closing time of the restaurant since we were driving for over 9 hours and needed to know if we should shop or just eat there. They said 9 pm; when we arrived at 8 the unpleasant woman who runs the restaurant (separate from the resort) said 'no' and went in to complain to the desk. And what's with being all about nature- fishing, rivers, etc and having no recycling???

We stayed at one of the newer cabins, which had all the amenities one would need. Made me think that aI could take the wife and kids with me on a trip up here. One of the guys even got into the hottub. We utilized one of the guides from the flyfishing shop - I usually view the a guided trip as a success if I catch some nice fish and learn some new things - both of which I did.

If you are looking for a quiet spot to get in the river and don't require fancy accomodations, this is the spot. Excellent Restaurant across the road, no need to drive to Gunnison or Crested Butte.

We stayed for a week in the middle of August. The location was great. The guys enjoyed stepping out of the cabin into the water to fish. We are planning a week in 2010. Cabin #20 was nice - but we saw the renovated cabins and will request a renovated unit on the next trip -- nice job on the renovations.

Your staff, especially Krissy, was outstanding. The food for our two catered meals was delicious. The location was excellent and the recreational opportunities were terrific.
We were extremely disappointed in the condition of our cabin. Frankly, it was filthy. Neither our daughter in 21 or ourselves in 20 could allow our grandson on the carpet to crawl around. There is an odor in 20 that smells like leaking gas. I suggest you get it looked at. We will come back, but only if we can be assured of a cleaner, more updated cabin. -

Left on 07/30/2009 for a stay in July 2009
The location, scenery, restaurant, store, and staff were very nice. The first night there were so many bugs (of the flying variety) INSIDE the cabin we could not keep the lights on. The second night we stayed outside as long as possible and then fumbled around in the dark to go to bed. The cabin was clean but needs updating, the furniture seemed old and was not all that comfortable. All in all, I would expect a little better for $160/night.

As you would expect the scenery is wonderful. The facilities are great. This is not our first stay and we throughly enjoy each trip we make to Almont. The staff is friendly, we loved the Garlic Mike river trip guide was fun, scenic and food outstanding. We take day trips into the moutains, We take the family fishing, Cabins are wonderful but prefer those with bedrooms on the river side so we can sleep to the sounds of the river sounds. Some things to improve on: there is none to limited phone signal for cell phones. Better river access along the cabins.

Beautiful view, very quiet and perfect for a fishing base with the kids. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again. Not ideal if you are looking for a luxurious cabin, but wonderful for a basic cabin that meets all your needs for a family get away.

The service we had at the 3 Rivers Resort was up to
standards and very one there was very sweet and
nice. The cabin we stayed in was very refreshing
and im happy there was no tv because we had time to reminisce on memories. Having a cabin on the river
was well so amazing!!! I saw a trout jump out of
the water just sitting outside and im from Kansas
so that is pretty dang cool. Also hearing the water
running when you go to bed and wake up was very
soothing. Very day we when somewhere new that
wasn't very far from our cabin. Like Crested Butte
and Black Canyon. I loved very thing about this
trip!! Thank you so much 3 Rivers Resort. -

Cabin 20 is a nice cabin right on the river. Spacious and comfortable. The sound of the rushing river in the evening will put anyone to sleep. Although you can get to the river next to the cabin, it is a steep incline with bushes and small trees and therefore I would not consider it easily accessible for many folks.
There is a cable connection in the room but no TV. Of course no phone or A/C (but don't need A/C). Wireless internet connection works very well around the resort (even in cabin 20 althoug signal is weak there).
Very friendly staff in the resort. Restaurant has good and reasonably priced evening meals.
We used Three Rivers as a jumping off place for several activities:
1. Wildflower Festival in Crested Butte (about 15-20 minutes drive).
2. Driving some of the ghost town roads (Tin Cup, etc).
3. Shopping in Gunnison, etc.
4. Relaxing in the cabin and doing nothing; which is what all vacations should be about.
I would stay there again. -

We had a great time with the Rafting trip and the all day Fishing Trip we went on. The guides were wonderful and so much fun to be with. Thank you for allowing us to stay with you. We will do it again.

Three River Resort (3RR) offers a very affordable alternative for folks wanting to visit the Crested Butte or Gunnison area. I stayed at Unit 20 for 4 nights while I went skiing at Crested Butte. 3RR can offer some fantastic deals on lift tickets. Ours cost only $37 each. Price at the window was $82! Wow. Don't expect a whole lot of luxury though. No hot tubs. No tv. No wireless internet from our cabin, although it's available closer to the main office. The small kitchen was adequate and the rooms were plenty comfy. My big complaint: the gas fireplace's fan was pretty loud and would wake us at night. Views of the river, canyon, and herds of big horn sheep were amazing tho'. Staff was great. Friendly service at the desk and someone would come and shovel the deck and clear off the snow in the morning after a storm. I would definitely recommend 3RR for someone looking for a cheaper way to make a ski or summer vacation. Don't take someone if they expect all the luxuries of civilization.
