Description from the manager

"Blue Wing Olive"

(Every cabin is named after a fly pattern.)

Cabins 39-44 and 49 are similar styles. These deluxe "mountain chalets" offer all the amenities of a cabin in a modern and compact package. They are perfect units for families. The deluxe models are very new with nice furniture and fixtures for a more "upscale" feel. The layout of these chalets feels more spacious than the standard units or the deluxe on the river units. There is a private bedroom downstairs and a low ceiling (4 feet high) sleeping loft upstairs with mattresses on the floor. Kids love to have their own space to crawl around up here. Cabins are pricey

Left on 06/27/2012 for a stay in June 2012

Outside stairs are too deep, I fell. Charging extra for 6 people when a cabin holds 6 people isn't right. Had we asked for 8 people that would be understandable.

What a fantastic get away! Can't believe we didn't discover this place sooner, will definitely be back. Cabin is just the right size for 2 adults & 2 (or more) kids. Don't forget to bring some games there's no TV. Restaraunt was great too.

      Fantastic

Left on 08/13/2009 for a stay in July 2009

My family had the best time. The cabin we stayed in was nestled behind a mountain which was great for looking at after cooking a great meal and just soaking in God's creation. My boys and I actually climbed the mountain and had a great time enjoying the scenery on top of the mountain. The cabin was more than we expected. It had all the conveniences of home but with the feeling of camping outdoors. The cabin at Three Rivers Resort had great access to all the activities in the area (Fishing, kyaking, horsebackriding, sightseeing, etc). Our family has camped in the Gunnision Mtns summer after summer for many years when our two boys were very young (under 10). This is the first time we actually stayed at Three Rivers. The trip back to Three Rivers (and Gunnison area) brought back a lot of memories. The staff and service at Three Rivers Resort was Excellent. We definitely plan to go back.

Cabin was well-equipped, but a few issues

Left on 07/22/2009 for a stay in July 2009

The cabin was well-equipped, but it is already showing some signs of age - cracking etc. The shower/tub was very narrow. The loft was large and comfortable, but would have been infinitely better if one could have stood up there. I liked the size of the living room and the front porch. The cabin seemed well insulated. Overall a good experience.
