Renovated in 2008, this three-bedroom vacation home is worth a look. Not only does it have sleeping accommodations for up to nine travelers, but it offers a wealth of entertainment and relaxation amenities.
Enjoy your favorite shows and movies with the two televisions, DVD player, VCR, and high-speed Internet (you can stream video over your computer). Unwind on the screen porch, deck, or living room furniture. Craving a salty snack? Walk over to the well equipped kitchen and prepare what you'd like.

This is our second year at 424 Gibson, so we obviously enjoyed it enough the first time to return. It was clean, in a great location for us and just the right size. The kitchen is great, the back deck and screened in porch a delight and the additional amenities go a long way to making us feel right at home. Although none of the below detracted from our enjoyment, I list the following as things to consider:
1. The furniture in the sitting area is not as comfortable as it could be!
2. For the second year in a row, the refrigerator never seemed fully chilled, especially upon our arrival.
3. The Tv's are certainly dated and limited. This really didn't concern us, but might have an impact on others enjoyment.
4. For what it is worth --and I am sure it has been long-fixed-- we did wake up on our last day to find out that the air-conditioning had stopped working.
4. Finally, from an "it-can't-hurt-to-ask" perspective, it would be great if bikes were available. I certainly understand why they aren't...but they sure would be nice!
All-in-all, however, please note that we really enjoyed our stay and the house. And we appreciate all the owner does to make sure guests feel at home. -

The house is older, but was recently renovated, and it looks great inside. The kitchen is especially nice with soapstone counters and new appliances. The deck is shaded for part of the day and there is a screened porch that gets morning sun and is large enough to comfortably seat up to 8 people. The TV is small and hidden in a cupboard, which is as it should be at a beach house. The neighborhood is homey, with other detached houses on medium sized lots and many mature trees.
You have to walk four long blocks to get to the beach and also cross Route 1. This wasn't really a problem, though; you just don't want to have to run back to the house for sun screen. We did manage to park the car and leave it alone, doing all of our shopping by bike. All in all, we'd be happy to stay again.
