Parker, COGreat Mountain Retreat!
Left on 03/01/2012 for a stay in January 2012
We really enjoyed our stay at the Peaceful Valley Lodge. Home was in even better condition than the pictures presented online. They aren't kidding about needing a four wheel drive if going in the winter but that's what the mountains are all about! Hope to be able to go visit this place again soon!

Madison Heights, MIComfortable and secluded with a beautiful backdrop
Left on 02/26/2012 for a stay in January 2012
If you are looking for luxury, this is really not the place (nothing fancy/nothing over the top). I think if you are looking for a romantic getaway-this wouldn't be my first choice. However, if you are looking for a comfortable and clean family/friends get away- yes stay here. Keep in mind that it is a little steep to get up the driveway and there is no wifi included/your cell-phone prob. won't work. The first floor is a little dark, but the 2nd floor (majority of the gathering space) is bright with mountain views. They have an old wrap around couch(beat up but-comfortable) and the hot tub didn't get hot enough for our party, which is an older model (room for really only 4). All and all, it's a short ride to Breckenridge, reasonably priced, and a good place to stay if you are with a great group of people.

Owner
This was a group of 10 people and overall the feedback I received from this group was excellent and that they had a blast, but this person must have a more critical attitude! :)
I appreciate the feedback and would like to respond. The PVL is not a million dollar luxury house that is slope-side, renting for thousands per week, however it is a unique secluded home, nicely furnished and the views are priceless. It is very private and romantic, we have had many people get engaged, honeymoon and even get married there.
We intentionally do not have WIFI, the intention is that this is a mountain retreat. Some cell phones do work at the home, but not all of them. That is what happens due to mountain terrain.
Regarding the couch, it is not old or beat up, however it does suffer abuse due to the number people that stay at the home. It is a La-Z-Boy triple recliner and we do take it in for maintenance as needed and when we can due to rental volume.
The hot tub is "cozy", 2 years old and has a brand new lid. It does have an Econ mode for saving energy. Unfortunately, the visitor did not read the instructions on how to reset this, nor did she call us for instructions, we would have been happy to help!
Overall, I believe this person had a nice time at our vacation home but I felt that some of her comments needed clarification from the owners.
I personally call the primary renter after each checkout for comments and feedback on their vacation and the home so Al and I do our best at making your vacation enjoyable. -

MichiganGreat, relaxing place to stay after long days on the mountain.
Left on 02/25/2012 for a stay in January 2012
The only downside is that it is a half-hour drive to Breckenridge, but the cabin is amazing! Plenty of space, linens, cooking supplies, and a great hot tub to boot, it's a wonderful place to spend a weekend.

Left on 01/21/2012 for a stay in January 2012
Pvl provided an amazingly comfortable, clean, well furnished, well stocked and cozy home for my friends and I to have a reunion. The hot tub is definitely a highlight; we wholeheartedly enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub outdoors after an exhausting but fun day of snowboarding. This was our 2nd time at PVL and we look forward to going back!l

"Wow, what a most incredible week. You have such a beautiful home in the midst of the Colorado Rocky Mountains. Every evening we sat in the home feeling like we were still outside. The windows in the living area make you feel like you are one with the trees and and the mountains. The sunset over the hills are striking. We loved how waterfalls and hiking trails are nearby. The home is close to restaurants, yet secluded enough to find peace. Thank you for such a lovely experience and beautiful home." -

Colorado SpringsEnjoyable, relaxing long weekend at Peaceful Valley Lodge
Left on 11/28/2011 for a stay in November 2011
We used the lodge mid-November as a base for 4 days of skiing, fishing, hiking, and general mountain relaxation. We'll definitely use it again!
The views are superb and access to Breckenridge and nearby towns is easy. The lodge is clean, modern, well-equipped, and the hot tub, games, and sleeping arrangements worked out well. Lorrie and al provided excellent service for our family gathering (me and seven others). Everyone enjoyed and appreciated the chance to get away for a few days and spend time in the high Rockies. If you're looking for a great mountain getaway any time of year, take a good look at this one. -

From check in to check out, absolutely effortless. Immacculately clean and ultimately comfortable. Everything we needed was right there. Extremely close to resorts yet felt like we were all alone in Colorado. Perfect. Only one problem occured. Skipped on valuable day of skiing to simply stay in the Lodge, read, stare out the windows, and just enjoy our time alone. What a great problem to have. This last visit was our third to the cabin. It has become a home away from home. We love the mountains. And, the coziness of the cabin on a snowy day.

Colorado Springs, COOne of our most memorable Thanksgiving reunions ever!
Left on 11/08/2011 for a stay in November 2006
My family is scattered about the country and we only can ever all get together once a year. We chose the Peaceful Valley Lodge on a recommendation from some friends. Great choice. We had a blast sledding in the snow, hopping over to Breckenridge for shopping and skiing, and soaking in the mountain scenery. The lodge is comfortable, we had lots of room(there were many young cousins there), and the hot tub was great! We'll be going back maybe even next year!

It was a great place for a long weekend with the gals. Close by, big rooms in which we could all gather, little spots and great hiking trails if you wish more secluded or quiet time. Great open kitchen for visiting and cooking.

What a wonderful experience my husband and I had on our honeymoon. In our own private spaces, with Breckenridge a quick 15 minute drive away. Beautiful scenery, peaceful, a great place to relax.
