HoustonOur Christmas Vacation in Rincon Lodge
Left on 12/29/2012 for a stay in December 2012
My husband, daughter, 3 grandchildren, sister, and brother-in-law spent the week of Christmas 2012 at Rincon Lodge. The best word I can find to describe Rincon Lodge is "wow"!!! It was simply amazing in every way. The drive up the driveway is awesome in itself. The view from the house/porch is unbelievable. Everything in the house is so practical and helpful. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you could possibly need in regard to dishes, pots, dish rags, etc. I wish my kitchen at home was this good!!! I was really impressed at how nicely the house was decorated for Christmas. I was a bit concerned about being away from home for Christmas and not having all the decorations for my grandchildren, but my concern was unfounded. They even had a small Christmas tree set up for us. Wonderful attention to detail!!!
I would highly recommend this house to anyone. It is very roomy, comfortable, and downright gorgeous!! -

Durango, ColoradoGreat Family Getaway
Left on 12/01/2012 for a stay in November 2012
My wife and I just got married in Durango. We were looking for a place to allow our families to meet and get to spend time together. Rincon Lodge was the perfect place. We had plenty of space to house two large families and some our friends. We had nine children under 8 and the house was a great place for them too. The views from the lodge were beautiful. We all had a great weekend together. We would love to come back and use it again for our families in the future.

We stayed here for a reunion in October 2012, and found it to be the most beautiful place we could have imagined. Views from the lodge were outstanding and the place accommodated about 23 people easily and comfortably. Wish we could've stayed for a week!

We had a great family reunion and a wonderful stay at Rincon Lodge. Everyone loved it. The Lodge is a beautiful facility. We were very impressed with the craftsmanship evident in the construction of the Lodge and the attention paid to every detail. It made for a very warm and homey environment. The privacy and sound proof separation between floors and the bedrooms was also impressive. Kimberly was right about the kitchen, every possible need was covered by it's more than ample cooking utensils, equipment and table service as several of the Chefs in our group will testify. The weather was perfect and the vistas spectacular. We spent much of our visiting time on the decks. Our next Family Reunion is slated for 2014 and everyone would love to come back to Rincon lodge.

Left on 07/20/2012 for a stay in July 2012
Our group spent 4 days in the wonderful Rincon Lodge. The lodge itself is spectacular. The large kitchen allowed us to cook gourmet meals, the bedrooms had very comfortable beds and the views from the porches were gorgeous. This place is as advertised: beautiful, comfortable and quiet. We would definitely stay again.

Left on 07/15/2012 for a stay in July 2012
Our family recently gathered from 7 states and loved staying at this wonderful lodge. It was even nicer than we expected. The view from the wrap around porch was wonderful. The entire place is very well furnished. We have never stayed anywhere before with such a well equipped kitchen. There is a very nice pantry/utility room area which has lots of storage shelves and extra large kettles. We found the attached garage area and storage very handy also. We all agreed that this wonderful location was a real plus toward making this our best reunion yet.

Colorado Springs, COGreat location for a family vacation!
Left on 07/14/2012 for a stay in July 2012
We had a family reunion here and found the lodge gave us all space to be together and space to get away and be alone. The porch - perhaps our favorite feature - offers a wonderful place for dining or talking or just sitting and watching the sky. It's so large that the children can be playing at one end while the adults converse at the other. There are bedrooms and baths aplenty and the kitchen can accommodate a lot of cooks. We hope to go back. Wish it were just a little shorter drive into Durango, but that's the compromise you make for the space and views of the lodge.

We had 21 family members take this trip to Colorado from East and West Texas. Ages 4-83 with activity for all. Had a wonderful time in this magnificant home. The views, the spacious rooms, the amenities all were great. The only thing missing possibly would be a hot tub sitting out on one of the decks to sit in and watch the stars from. We are planning on making this an annual trip with additional family members going each year. Thanks to Scott for all of his help too. I would recommend Rincon Lodge to anyone. It's great.

Nogal, NMOur stay at Rincon Lodge in Durango, CO
Left on 02/07/2012 for a stay in December 2011
We stayed at the Rincon Lodge at Christmas time 2011. There were 20 members of my family there and we had a blast. This home is unbelieveably awesome. Lots of rooms; beautiful, gorgeous & peaceful location; very private. The owner and caretakers were wonderful and helped in any way that they were asked to help. They did not watch over your shoulders (so to speak). All things were great and beautiful.
I guess our greatest dislike of the area is not enough snow this season. We did go 2 weeks earlier than we usually go but there was not very much snow for our grandkids to play, of course, there was some snow but not as much as 2 years ago. I would most certainly rent this again if needed. You will not be disappointed. -

Left on 10/15/2011 for a stay in September 2011
Our fairly small group of eight had room to roam in the large, well furnished and outfitted lodge. Weather was beautiful except for the afternoon thunderstorms but we watched them moving across the valley and mountains (the photog in our group loved them for all the lighting changes they provided). In short, everything was as advertised in the lodge and everything worked. Having a nearby caretaker to call on, if needed is a real plus. We would definitely stay here again if the opportunity arises and highly recommend the property.

We had a fantastic family reunion at the lodge. The lodge was beautiful inside and out and accommodated our large group. The lodge was clean, well equipped and spacious. We enjoyed spending time out on the decks where the views were amazing. The children had fun playing upstairs and outside and the ping pong table also got plenty of use. The whole family was impressed and we will definitely recommend it to our friends and family.

Our group of 17 gathered for a family reunion and found the Rincon Lodge to be a perfect location for such an event. We enjoyed the lodge and its wonderful vistas, the river rafting trip we took was a blast, and the day trip we made to view Mesa Verde National Park was well worth it. The lodge was very comfortable for everyone and Marty, Kimberly and Scott were wonderful to answer any questions we had and to make suggestions of things to do. Our family would highly recommend it for any group who wants to gather together and relax in a gorgeous setting.

June visit
Arlington, TXGreat Time in early June
Left on 06/23/2011 for a stay in June 2011
We spent a wonderful week in the house in early June. The mornings were cool and the days warm, and we really enjoyed the change from the Texas summer. The house is quite large so there was plenty of room, and many of us enjoyed just hanging around while others preferred to be out and about doing many of the activities available in the Durango area. The house is perched on a ridgeline so there are great views in all directions; my only caveat to that is the winding driveway up (and down) made a few of us nervous. The property was in good shape, everything worked, and we'd be up for a return visit.

We celebrated my parents' 50th wedding anniversary at Rincon Lodge with 6 adults and 6 teenagers. There was room to spare and more than enough room for the kids to disappear. They (and we) enjoyed the nightly ping-pong tournament up in the game room, and the many trails around the property to explore. We saw many mule deer, rabbits, and squirrels but never did catch a glimpse of a bear or rattlesnake. The kitchen was awesome with a 6 burner gas stove, 2 fridges, plenty of storage and amenities, a wrap-around deck with killer views and privacy galore. We cannot wait to stay there again!

I held a surprise 50th birthday party for my husband at Rincon Lodge over Memorial weekend. We had friends and family fly in from all over the country...some we hadn't seen for many years. The house was perfect for our gathering. The ping pong area upstairs was a wonderful romper room for the kids. The adults on the main floor couldn't hear the kids at all. The kitchen is very well stocked. We loved being able to utilize a second refrigerator/freezer in the pantry since we stocked up on supplies and didn't want to make multiple trips to town. We needed help from the local manager, Scott, on a couple different issues. He was most accommodating and helpful. Thank you Marty and Scott!

Rincon Lodge was perfect for us, bringing together family and friends. The location certainly gives a feeling of privacy.
Make a good job of stocking up with supplies because the drive to Durango and shops is a 30 minute drive with some of it over undulating dirt roads.
Kitchen and bathrooms were very well equiped. -

Huntsville, ALBest Holiday House Ever
Left on 05/08/2011 for a stay in November 2010
We stayed at Rincon Lodge for Thanksgiving weekend. We had five adult couples, a teen, and five little kids. The kitchen is so well furnished with everything you need for holiday cooking. There were lots of cookware, utensils, dishes, flatware and linens. There was even a full freezer and space to store even the dry foods. The bedrooms are spacious and well-furnished, and the two living rooms were fabulous. There was an extra-large dining table with chairs for the adults and we utilized the adjacent sun room for the children. Add in a two-car garage, scenic views in every direction, and wrap-around porches and you have the perfect site for a family/group visit. We felt very safe and special.
We really enjoyed the pingpong table, although some of our players must have swallowed the balls. We bought more pingpong balls from the local Walmart.
Marty was extremely accommodating in every way.
The Darnall/Pitera/Murray families loved this house. We came from alabama, California, Colorado, and Pennsylvania to have our annual celebration. And the Durango airport is a breeze! -

Wonderful house with abundant wildlife-deer, bobcats, chipmunks, horned toads and assorted birds. Several hundred hummingbirds came to feeders that we put on the porch. We took them down at night in case a bear was in the neighborhood. The house is close to Durango and numerous activities

this was the hiking group out of Nashville, TN. Not sure who made the reservations, either Tracy Woodard or Ellen Bryson is my guess. Anyway we had a great time, we loved being way up on the Hill and by ourselves. We enjoyed the hummingbirds and the whole area-great house.

We just picked the Rincon Durango vacation home out of the internet and the place is just absolutely awesome. We had 4 couples staying there. We trailered 4 motorcycles there and from the Rincon Rental you are only minutes away from Durango. We just loved the place. It is very large, plenty of room, a beautifull balcony that overlooks the Durango area from on high. From the balcony you can see 25 or so miles away. The accomodations were just awesome. The kitchen was well equiped, the bedrooms spacious, the garage very large, and the place is just beautifull. When we left we left the place in the same condition we arrived in and our deposit was immediatley refunded in full. We will definately rent again next time we go to the area.

This rental property is beautifully equipped, has a wonderful layout with lots of space, and gorgeous views. We rented for a family reunion with ages ranging from 10 to 80. Everything was very comfortable
The feature that may be either the best or worst part: it is fairly remote. Plan some travel time to go places.
We made the arrangements mostly through email with Marty. He was very helpful and communicated well. Everything was just as described. -

We had a big family reunion with about 30 people from all over teh country meet at the Rincon Lodge in Durango for a week and we all stayed comfortably on this property (including guest house). There was so much to do in Durango, it was an ideal place for such an event. The lodge was beautiful, comfortable, with amazing views from its secluded mountaintop location, yet we were only 20 mins from downtown Durango! We do recommend Marty and Kimberly's incredible Lodge, and send thanks to you both!

We had a group of 20+ 30-somethings staying at this gorgeous home for 5 days over New Years. A big group made it very affordable for each person/couple. Everyone was blown away by the place...great sleeping accomodations, perfect kitchen & dining area, tons of fun things to do in close proximity...we could have spent the whole 5 days sledding down the driveway! We had an amazing time & would strongly recommend the home to others...
