Description
"Wee Cott” is a detached, privately owned, traditional style, holiday chalet; on RivieraTowans, near Hayle in West Cornwall. (Towans is Cornish for sand dunes).
The family site is probably one the best in Cornwall. There's a fabulous beach only a few minutes walk through the dunes. With its 3 miles of golden sand and the turquoise sea of St Ives Bay, it is considered to be amongst the top beaches in the world. Great for swimming, surfing and parasailing, etc.
Free WiFi & electric included.
The chalet is equipped to a high standard throughout
Sitting room with 2 x leather sofas a 2 & 3 seater& Flat screen tv. Dining area to the rear of the living room.

Your beds will be made up for your arrival. (New for the 2022 season)
Wee Cott is the ideal base for visiting locations such as Bedruthan & Gwithian beaches, Lamorna Cove & St Michael's Mount that feature in the popular fiction books " Day of the Storm ", " Coming Home" & "The Shell Seekers " plus many others by the Cornish writer Rosamunde Pilcher.
Also the dramatic filming locations for the BBC series "Poldark"are nearby & well worth visiting.
In the evening, watch the ever changing colours, as the sun sets over St Ives Bay. It's perfect.

Response from the owner You clearly stayed with the McDonnells who have previously left a review. You obviously found the property not suitable for your requirements. You booked for 2 couples in a property with a double bed, single bed & bunks. when you needed a property with 2 double bedrooms.

Response from the owner Before booking the guest never asked about the mattress as it was obviously an important issue due to an existing back problem. We provide a medium mattress which we have never had any complaints about. The guest did ring us to ask if we had a spare firmer mattress which due to storage we didn't. We did explain that the mattress on the single bed was brand new & maybe he could use that bed, but was told the boys didn't want to share the bunk room. We did apologise but felt there was nothing further we could do. The email we sent did ask about the guests back & said we hope it didn't spoil the holiday. We do not consider this poor customer service especially in the light of all our reviews.

Response from the owner It took a week of a two week stay for our customer to complain. With regard to the hot water in the bathroom our handyman discovered that the water heater had a loose wire which could have been put right while they we staying, (hot water working now). The door was also fixed at changeover. We did say the chairs were new and had been checked they had been used by other guests and were ok. We did say that nobody else had complained this season having spent a lot of money in the close season putting in new kitchen new carpets and painting the property. As we have said it took a week for them to report this to us if we had been told straight away these matters could have been fixed in the first week and there would not have been a problem. This was not booked though trip advisor and ther feel this review irreverent.
