Jupiter Farms is surrounded by Loxahatchee Battlefield/Riverbend Park, Cypress Creek Natural Area and Pine Glades Natural area, the northern end of the Florida Everglades.
On our private 2.7 acre lot tucked away in Jupiter Farms, Shadey Acres is a comfortable country home surrounded by lush landscaping and big lawns mixed with wooded areas like they were in “Old Florida”. We hope the valued Guest reviews and pictures speak for themselves.
Casually decorated in tropical whimsy style, this 3 bedroom, 2 full bath home can accommodate up to 10 people comfortably, sleeping, dining, watching TV or playing games.

There is plenty of seating and room for sunbathing at the pool and spa, lit at night for a lovely evening swim.
The huge front yard is great for family sports; football, soccer, basketball, and yard games. The big wicker chest and closet in the game room has the gear, the deck box has pool toys! Beach gear is in the deck shed.
We have compiled a book of many local attractions and restaurants, as well as food delivery numbers for your convenience, look for it on the desk in the living room.

The location is perfect; minutes away from Parks, beautiful beaches, Roger Dean Baseball Stadium for spring training and weekly baseball games and lots of fantastic shopping, entertainment and attractions are within 20 minutes of Shadey Acres. The hot spot for the area is HARBOURSIDE PLACE, just 15 minutes away with lots of live music, restaurants, shopping and a green market every weekend! Downtown Palm Beach Gardens, The Gardens Mall, Legacy Place and the Palm Beach Outlet Mall are just 25 minutes away. In May 2023 The Busch Wildlife Sanctuary with its incredible collection of Florida flora and fauna is moving bears, panthers, birds and all to its new home in Jupiter Farms, just 2 miles from the house!
Children love Shadey Acres. Only minutes from the Loggerhead Marine Center, Busch Wildlife Sanctuary, Lighthouse Cove Adventure Mini Golf (Home of The Burger Shack and Three Scoops Ice Cream Parlor), Bowlero Bowling, Movie theaters and several great outdoor playgrounds provide a kids paradise. Just 25 minutes away are the Palm Beach Zoo and Science Museum and the Rapids Water Park (a fantastic water park, the whole family will love it!) Bumper pool or cards in the game room is always fun.
We are a dog friendly vacation home, so bring along your best friend(s).

Carlos and I take extra care to make our Guest’s stay seamless and special. You mentioned that you took advantage of the beautiful natural areas around our neighborhood. The Riverbend Park-Loxahatchee Battle Ground Park is the home of the beautiful Loxahatchee River, a National Wild and Scenic River. Named “lowchow” (turtle) and “hatchee” (river) by the Seminole Indians, the Loxahatchee starts out narrow and twisty as it meanders its way toward the Atlantic. You’ll pass through an incredible cypress swamp, complete with thousands of species of plants and animals. At the Jupiter Outdoor Center, (JOC), located in the park, you can rent a canoe or kayak. Paddling on the Loxahatchee ranges from easy to moderately strenuous, depending upon your skills and the weather. The other great attractions just minutes from the house is the Lighthouse Museum and the Busch Wildlife Center, where I never tire of watching the Florida Black bears and the Panthers in their large habitats along with all the other local flora and fauna, including a Cypress Swamp. The Loggerhead Marine Life Center is also really special; you get to see the giant sea turtles as they are being nursed back to health. Busch Wildlife and the Loggerhead Marine Life Center are free attractions. The restaurants in our area are world class as well, with many different cuisines. I hope you all had some fun cruising the neighborhood and nearby Riverbend Park on the bikes we have in the barn. Riverbend Park is one of the most beautiful parks in Palm Beach County, with an abundance of wildlife you can see while walking, biking or canoeing through the park. It’s just a ten minute bike ride from the house. We always recommend the Loggerhead Marine Life Center to our guests, those giant turtles are something to see, (and the little wash back babies are so cute)! And another great place to take the kids and adults alike is the Busch Wildlife Sanctuary. Located just minutes away from the Shadey A, it’s a sanctuary that has every kind of Florida Wildlife, from turkeys, to deer, foxes to bobcats, all the birds, alligators and crocodiles, Florida Black Bears and Florida Panthers! It even has a Cypress swamp with boardwalks to safely walk through what Jupiter and much of Florida actually looked like a100 years ago. And best of all, both these local attractions are free! You can donate if you want and all the proceeds from the gift shops (which are really nice) go the Center and Sanctuary. Of course going to the movies is always fun and the luxurious Jupiter Cinepolis makes it even more fun with home theater style reclining lounges and gourmet food service right to your seat, we really like that place. Harbourside Place by the Intracoastal is so special too, great restaurants, shopping, galleries, live entertainment on the weekends and a Farmers Market on Sundays! I know you and the family enjoyed the screened heated pool and spa, and family barbecues on the Lania. Congratulations on Abbey and Randy's engagement, it is so special for us that such a romantic moment will be remembered by them as happening at the Shadey A, Carlos and I both smiled when we read Abbey and Randy’s note in the guest book. I’m glad you rode the bikes around our beautiful neighborhood; I hope you took advantage of the extensive bike trails in the Riverbend Park (awarded Certificates for Excellence for 2015 and 2016), which is only a 10 minute bike ride from the Shadey A. The trails wind through old time Natural Florida and along beautiful streams and ponds. See Deer, Wild Turkey, Fox, Osprey and Eagles along with so many more critters in their natural habitat. Special events and demonstrations provide a unique living history experience in the authentically-constructed Seminole Village and Pioneer Homestead. Bike or drive over and rent a canoe or kayak from the Canoe Outfitters, right there in the park and paddle around the extensive waterways throughout the park or up to Trader Nelsons old homestead. We are happy to know the kids enjoyed the pool and outdoor toys and games, the Shadey Acres property has such great areas to play! I hope you had a chance to take advantage of some of the great attractions nearby, The Busch Wildlife Sanctuary, just 10 minutes from the property, is alive with local flora and fauna, including an actual cypress swamp walk way and live natural animal exhibits that include Florida Panthers, Black Bears, Bobcats, Eagles, Gators, Birds, reptiles, raccoons and so much more! The Loggerhead Marine Life Center over in Juno Beach is amazing! Turtles huge and small have been rescued and released from this facility, with big tanks that you can get up close and personal with these gentle beings.
