Description
THE MAKANI A KAI RESORT "ON THE BEACH" is the smallest resort in Maalaea with only 24 units, and one of only two complexes that have full beach front access. You can't get closer to the Pacific ocean than you can in this bright spacious fully air-conditioned, 2nd floor, two story condo. You have breathtaking views of the Maalaea Bay, the grand Haleakala volcano and the sparkling lights of Kihei at night.
Enjoy whales jumping 100 yards off shore during season and beautiful waves breaking on the shallow reef beyond the beach. This condo is conveniently located within walking distances to beach parks, restaurants, shopping and fabulous boating and yachting at the Maalaea Harbor.
It has a bright and cheery tropical island personality with tile floors, an extra large loft master suite with a Cal king bed, a queen bed in guest room, air conditioning, free wireless Internet, DVD, cable TV and a well stocked kitchen. Pillows, towels and sheets are provided. There is a private lanai, pool, BBQ and beach side lounges in the sprawling lawn running parallel to the beach just steps from your front door. . Beach chairs, umbrella, beach towels, coolers, body boards and fins are all available for your beach excursions. Binoculars are also available for whale watching. Free on site parking and shared laundry facilities

“Unbeatable Location!”
Fantastic stay, wonderful hosts! Newly remodeled bathrooms have gorgeous showers and the view here is the true star! Amazing cove and beach access for great swimming and walks. Simply excellent.
