A note from the owner: "Our unit overlooks a beautiful cove, where in the late afternoon, we can see the turtles swimming on the surface of the ocean and popping their heads out of the water. We especially like to see how the color of the ocean changes during the day as the sun makes it's way across the sky. Nothing can compare to watching the whales breach against the setting sun during whale season."

We were excited to be coming back back to Makena Surf after staying there two years ago and being so impressed with the unit and the beautiful surroundings back then. We were somewhat fearful that we could even come close to matching that same experience this time around, but this unit exceeded our expectations. We will be back in the near future.

We have been staying at the Makena Surf for years. The location can't be beat; it's just 5 minutes away from Waileia shops and restaurants yet the beaches are never crowded. The condos are roomy, and we love having a full kitchen. Daily maid service is a plus and leaves us more time for the beach. The grounds are lush and beautiful. We do wish the pools had ocean views, but we spend most of our time snorkeling and playing on the beach. The snorkeling is outstanding, but the water can get rough on the beaches. These units and beaches are best for those with children 5 and up. We look forward to returning each year.
