My friends and I have been staying at the Purple Sage a couple of times a year for the last several years and I can say it is the perfect place for our twice a year bike trips. What makes this the ideal place to stay for our bike trips for a number of reasons including having a nice place to store our bikes, a shady frontyard to "hang out", comfortable rooms, and excellent WiFi not to mention the location is convenient walking distance to downtown. Also, the owners continue to make improvements to the property ... we were all surprised by the nice changes this Spring from when we were there last Fall. All in all a nice place to stay ... we'll be back for sure!

Perfect size for my daughter and I. Great hot tub and great to have laundry facilities. Room was clean and we got a surprise cleaning of the room in the middle of our stay.
Loved this little place!

I loved this efficiency condo - it reminds me of apartments I have rented in the past - very cozy feeling to it. Small, but the layout is done well w/ plenty of room for several people (I was solo however). The amenities were all that a person needed and the unit was very clean. All I had to do was bring my food to cook w/ and my clothing/gear. Otherwise, everything is provided there for you (w/ the exception of a washer/dryer). This was in town, but not on the main street so it was quiet at night. I spent my time in Moab hiking and Purple Sage was a great "base camp" to come back to after a long day outside. I would highly recommend these little efficiencies for anyone (solo or family) to rent while staying in Moab! For the price, you get so much... from now on (as I visit Moab usually once a year), I plan on renting one of these.
Perfect for à short or à Long stay in Moab

All the comfort you need when you're on holiday
The most difficult is to find the office at Moab!

nice, clean and comfy condo. a little on the smaller side and it was a little tight for 4 people but it was nothing to complain about. the location of the condo was fine. but since moab is not a very big place anyway, you are close to everything. the self check in was easy and everything was in order. my only minor complaint was about the self check out. the check list stated to leave a key in the locked box but we did not receive any instructions about that. we just assumed we needed to leave the keys on the table as we found them. i hope we did that right. all in all a great place to stay.
Outdated and Sorta Clean...

This is a tough place to review because I paid so much for the room at a time when there was absolutely nothing available in Moab. It is passable. But the linens are so old that you can't help but wonder what is stuck to them -- and especially to the comforters. Old, loud wall a/c units made it less than pleasant. But I was grateful for a place to stay. This is the kind of place you'd think was okay for $75 a night, but at $120 a night, it stung.
American cottage quiet and confortable

- direct check-in at the condo when we arrived, we found the key left for us and everything was in order ; no need to complete administrative papers, did everything before the trip
- easy to find and central in a nice town, near marvellous parks (Arches, canyonlands, Dead Horse state point and Colorado river)
- one bed-room, + living-room with 2 beds, convenient kitchen, garden with table and barbecue ; well-furnished
Great experience in Moab!

We are very happy with all the contacts (e-mail exchanges) we had for the reservation with the staff. The location is very convenient close to main street.
The key management was very simple and efficient: easy to check-in and to check-out.
The flat was very clean, well arranged, with a lot of space. We had appreciated the size of the freezer, the basic products let by the previous owners.
To be improved: due to very high temperature in Moab in July, we didn't use the spa. A swimming pool could be an added value and an external clothesline could be also useful after washing.
The location of Moab is very convenient, and close to great areas: Colorado river, Arches, Dead horse point, Canyonlands, ...
Okay, but not wonderful

The location way off the main street was good. The bed was comfortable and that was important. Otherwise we would not stay here again. No dishwasher, garbage disposal, or room in the kitchen for two people to eat without moving a chair. Furnishings were satisfactory, but run down. Stairs were steep. Blinds needed replacing. Lighting was low. Read more
Response from Moab Lodging and Property Management - 05/15/2013
Purple Sage provides you with a great location in downtown, with more amenities than a hotel, at a lower price. We'd be happy to host you again in one of our others units with a dishwasher, garbage disposal and more. We have a wide variety of lodging options at Moab Lodging Vacation Rentals, and we definitely have something that would suit all your needs.
Great to have a home away from home...

Our 'place' was a great value! with a separate bedroom, kitchen, and 'TV room' for the price of a 3-star motel. We were close to the local restaurants, groceries and recreational activities with which we hung out. Our vacation was one of the most perfect ever -- and this lodging was part of the reason for our joy. Thanks so much!!

Lovely place for a family. We enjoyed the close proximity to downtown.
