This apt is located right on Ashford Avenue in Condado, this is sort of like a "Ocean Drive in South Beach" but at a smaller scale.
As soon as you place your foot outside you can walk everywhere, the best restaurants , clubs, casinos are waiting for you.
Conveniently located between the SJU International Airport and Old San Juan. A taxi should be around $18-$20 , there is a bus stop right in front of the building that for just about $.75 or $1.00 you can go directly to the Old San Juan in just 5-10 minutes. Plaza Las Americas which is the biggest mall in the Caribbean is just a 10 minute drive from the apt also.

Parking can be added for $12 per day, the parking is right on the ground floor of the building.
There's also a private parking (2) walking distance but they start anywhere from $2 to $4 for the first hr and $2 each additional hr or fraction, there are a couple of streets around the apt, they have meters and they cost 0.25 cents x 15 minutes so you have all these options as far as the parking....

This is one of the nicest rentals we have ever stayed at. We walked thru the door and immediately knew we made the right choice. Beautiful decor, spacious for 2 and we had family stop in to spend a daywith us and 6 people fit just fine. The kitchen was very useful and we definitely used it quite a bit. The only downside was that we didnt get to stay longer in Puerto Rico. Thanks Gary for offering your place.

We stayed in the condo in late March 2013 and loved it!
First of all, the area (Condado) is very safe and nice (walking around at night is no problem at all). It is close to Old San Juan (look for $2/ride shuttles) and there are nice beaches (a beach w/out many waves is just off the bridge going over to Old San Juan).
The apartment itself is very clean and modern, the bed is very comfortable. We stayed with a child (for whom we brought an air mattress) and she totally loved it. The building has got a private (very clean) swimming pool which we found very convenient, especially because there were never many people in it and it was shielded from the wind.
Gary is a very nice, uncomplicated and responsive host. Whenever we had a question, he would answer very quickly.
For us, it was the first time in Puerto Rico and for that, San Juan was the best location since from that the whole island was easily accessible.
Can only recommend it !! -

We had a very enjoyable week at Gary's apartment in Condado. The apartment was as described and we found it to be very clean and comfortable. Condado is a nice area with lots of restaurant options and an easy bus ride into old San Juan. Gary was helpful and responsive with tips on where to go for sightseeing.

The apartment looks exactly like it is pictured. Gary was helpful and responsive to any questions that we had. The parking was a good value. We rented a car and I suggest doing that ahead of time because it is less expensive. There is a little grocery store with everything go left out of the building at the end of the block. There were beach chairs in the apartment which was thoughtful. Puerto Rico is a great island to visit because there is so much to see and do. We went to El Yunque Rainforest and that was spectacular and a pretty challenging hike. El Morro Fort was beautiful beside the blue water. Old San Juan was fun ... we just moved from bar-to-bar and ate local. We went to Lumiquillo Beach and tried the local cuisine (look for a strip of open air stalls on Route 3 left side of the road & the 1st one says El Jefe but we didn't eat at that one by the way this area looks unsafe but we met the nicest local people who were happy to tell us about the food and island. In fact the one thing I have to say about PR is Everyone was so nice !!!

My wife and I stayed for 9 nights in December, 2012. Gary (the apartment manager) was very friendly and helpful and the transaction couldn't have gone more smoothly. The apartment was impeccable. It looks just like it does in the pictures. The beach (southeast) is a very short walk from the apartment, with plenty of restaurants on the beachfront (east). To the west is a lagoon where you can take a kayak out for a leisurely trip. Ashford avenue is a very popular street with tourist attractions for everyone. If you are going to rent a car I advise you plan ahead and reserve one, we did not plan ahead and paid $80/day for a economy car which would have been $30/day if we had planned ahead. We visited the Bosque Estatal De Caribe forest and went to a pool called azul(blue) pool or something. The pool and rain forest were cool, we were expecting to see more birds and lizards though, we didn't see any. At the north of the forest on PR 184 there are multiple Lechonera's, which are pretty much pig roasts. The food was good (didn't much like the blood sausage though), but my wife and I didn't feel so great the next day, but it was worth it. We also drove to Seven Seas Beach which is an awesome beach for hanging out and relaxing or picnic-ing, it is not good for snorkeling, at least not when we went. We also went to Playa azul (Blue Beach)to snorkel, it was our favorite beach, there were reefs not too far out with plenty of fish and stuff. Nearly everyone says to go to Vieques or Culebra for snorkeling though, this is a good option for the main island. We made 2 day trips to Old San Juan which was really fun. The bus system was kind of lousy, untimely buses with hard to find proposed times anyways. But the bus to Old San Juan is worth it (only 75 cents), and it's right outside the apartment. Taxi rates are mostly fixed, a taxi from the airport was $19 with 2 people/2 bags. Taxi to/from Old San Juan from apartment was $15.

Hey Luke seems like you had a blast! Didn't knew you were all the way to Guavate!!! Many people from the island dont even know where the hell is it! lol The best thing is to do what you did, rent a car and explore the rest of the island which can be very fun, sorry about all the extra money for the rental but as you said it was last minute and the season (last week of the year)

The condo turned out to be exactly what we expected.
We liked the kind of scandinavian style theme.
Spent most of the time exploring the Island so the location is perfect. Wheather going down town or accessing the freeway system. The gated private parking is a big convenience if you want to explore on your own.
Gary was a pleasure to work with and everything worked out as promised.

El apartamento esta muy bien ubicado, a metros de la playa. Nos sentimos muy comodos y es como en las fotos pero tenia para nosotros dos desventajas. Una es que no tiene balcon y la segunda es que si bien internet es rapido solo se puede conectar una linea por vez. para nosotros que estabamos con nuestra hija que queria ver dibujitos en el ipad y mi esposo que necesitaba trabajar en su notebook resulto un poco molesto porque no podian estar conectados los dos al mismo tiempo.

Gary was very informative and professional about the area and studio before our arrival. Once we unlocked the door we entered into our own mini "MTV" crib studio. We felt more like residents than tourists. We loved everything about it and because of our experience, hotels are out of the question. A few of our friends stayed in the Ritz but after their view of the studio let's just say, they will be contacting Gary. The studio is a well hidden surprise in Condado. It is centrally located and walking distance to the LaConcha where you are able to enjoy the infinite pool. Everyone in the area seem to be a fitness fanatic, so bring your tennis and make a 10 min.dash to the Denny's or Walgreens. As the saying goes, "A picture is worth a thousand words" and it was all worth it. Thanks GR!

Since I was staying longer this time during my visit, my boyfriend and I decided to stay at Gary's for a week. It was the best decision! Not only was his place in the best part of town, the pictures were exactly how the apartment looked like! It had all convenience of being at home including great repair turnaround for some minor hiccup during the stay. I really felt like a local despite my poor Spanish :-( ! You can't go wrong with this apartment, since it also has a clean/clear swimming pool and the beach is right across! I will definitely be a return customer! Thanks again, Gary!

My fiancé and I stayed in Gary's studio at the beginning of august for four nights. This was our first stay in Puerto Rico and all I can say is we loved it.
The studio was in a great location, easy walking distance to all the restaurants and beaches, the bus stop is right outside to take you into Old San Juan, although we preferred to walk in along the coast as you get to see so much more. Inside the studio was modern, clean, the shower was great, the kitchen was well equipped oh and pool was great too.
Thanks Gary, we are already planning our next trip. -

The check in directions were precise.The unit was exactly as presented on line. The bed was superb. The owner was attentive to detail by providing information regarding the area.My only regret is not renting the unit for a longer period of time. Will definately rent again..

We're already planning for our next trip to Puerto Rico and stay at Gary's beautiful flat. The photos are completely accurate and the accommodations couldn't be more comfortable (the bed is fantastic - best night's sleep I've had on vacation). The location is truly central with bus access just outside the building to Old San Juan and other local spots as well as a 3 minute walk to a sandy beach, it's just perfect. Gary is a kind and generous host, who often goes above and beyond to ensure his guests have a quality experience. He was readily available to answer questions and always helpful. Our 3 night stay in Gary's condo was comfortable, convenient and cost-effective. The decor was impeccable and the complex was safe and quiet. The apartment is centrally located on ashford avenue and surrounded by great restaurants. We would definitely stay here again!

We have spent two weeks in Gary's studio and Gary was always reachable to any of our questions and very helpful and accommodating our extra needs and providing us with information.
The studio is situated in a great location in Condado, close to the beach and to all amnesties in the area. The studio has all comforts one expects in a vacation apartment and we have stayed there with great pleasure.

My boyfriend and I stayed here a few months ago and loved it! The interior looks exactly as the pictures show - we were not disappointed...very modern comfort! There is a bus stop right out front of the building that can take you to Old San Juan and the coffee place that is downstairs is absolutely amazing! There is a pool in the building that looks over the Laguna Del Condado and it's really cool! The beach is right across the street and only a short walk to La Concha which has $5 chairs and a lovely wait staff. We absolutely would stay here again!

Mr Gary Rosado, and staff really did a wonderful job in this apt.Love it!
Amazing apt! Just take a look at the Pictures. Apt has a full kitchen, so you could have a long night out, and cook a nice breakfast for your partner in the morning.
The apt is located in an area (Condado) where it is an easy walk to Old San Juan, shops, bars and restaurants. Walgreens is just down the street. And the beach! Just across the street. Beach is well kept.
The building is private, and parking is available if you rent a car. We would absolutely stay there again.We had a wonderful time there. Trust me! Great location! Excellent!

i really really like this place , the beach is just a block away ,many restaurants & stores around easy to get a taxi and is also safe to walk around even a night , the apartment was clean and had everything i asked for , i have to say the owner is a really nice guy i can't wait to go back and absolutely recommend this apartment you will love it.

Gary, the owner, has definitely taken the time to make this apartment very comfortable and efficient for any length of stay. The air conditioning works great with clean cold air. The bed was heaven and the kitchen is equipped with everything you need to cook, except an oven. There is a full range stove, microwave, spices, pans, etc. The apartment is in a great area with just about everything you need within walking distance. There are restaurants, casinos, grocery markets, souvenir shops, clothes shops, and the beach right there. The pool at the apartment is lovely and although there is no view from the apartment itself, you can view the lagoon right from the pool. This place is a great deal for the money you pay and we will definitely be back to stay.
