The Wailea Sunset Bungalow was recently re-freshed with live green plants, new paint, carpet, drapery, lamps, solar shades, and new beautiful solid honey teak bedroom furniture. We also added larger flat panel televisions in the living room and the master bedroom, along with iPod docks, new DVD players and many other useful upgrades. Please enjoy the updated comforts of this quintessential ideal vintage beach cottage!

The Wailea Sunset Bungalow is one of the very few legal hotel-zoned vacation rental homes on Maui.

The Wailea Sunset Bungalow may be combined with the adjoining Wailea Sunset Estate for a total of as many as 6 bedroo...ms and 6.5 baths for up to 14 guests.

The Wailea Sunset Bungalow is a little piece of heaven on earth. The Wailea Sunset Bungalow is a vintage cottage with charming nostalgic ambiance reminiscent of Hawai`i of yester-year. Choose the Wailea Sunset Bungalow and experience seaside living as it was before the introduction of mega-mansions to our tropical island paradise.

This is not new construction. We make every effort to provide comfortable furniture, abundant electronics, and useful amenities. The 2 bedroom and 1 bath Bungalow has an outdoor hot tub spa, air conditioning in all rooms, iPod dock, multiple televisions, high speed wireless internet access, four padded outdoor chaise lounge chairs, hammock, indoor and outdoor dining, and best of all, a simply priceless location nestled between 2 sandy swimming beaches.

Unlike at many nearby hotels there are no extra "Resort Fees" charged!

Guests of the Bungalow may enjoy their own private hot tub under the stars with panoramic views of the turquoise ocean and crimson sunsets. From time to time when a south swell is generated in the South Pacific, some smaller waves break along the shoreline. A verdant manicured sprawling green grass lawn frames the properly perfectly.

The Bungalow has a gated entry, a comfortable living room with plenty of seating and fabulous floor to ceiling sweeping ocean views, indoor and outdoor dining, additional outdoor hot & cold outdoor garden shower, washer and dryer, iron and board, fully equipped kitchen, a propane BBQ grill, beach chairs and towels, and many other amenities to provide you with life long memories of a terrific sea-side holiday.

One bathroom is conveniently placed between the 2 bedrooms. There are 3 televisions, one in each bedroom each with a DVD player, and a separate CD player and iPod dock in the master bedroom. Tiki torches add romance to an already amazing setting. Nothing but your hammock, hot tub and a sprawling manicured grass lawn come between your cottage and the beautiful blue Pacific ocean.

Stroll just one block to sandy swimming beaches (Polo Beach or Palauea White Rock Beach) or swim, snorkel, scuba dive, boogie board, surf or kayak directly from the shore in front of the Bungalow.

The Fairmont Kealani Resort, Cafe Ciao Deli and Store, Four Seasons Resort, Wailea Blue Golf Club, Mulligan's Irish Pub, and other upscale restaurants and shops in the swanky new Shops at Wailea are just a few easy blocks away. Hike over one block to pick up a pizza or fresh pastries from the Fairmont Kealani Deli and dine leisurely back home on your own private ocean front deck.

Out-cleaning is pre-collected with the final payment. The owner reserves the right to charge for out-cleaning in excess of this amount, should the house be left excessively messy or soiled.

  My family and I stayed at the Wailea Sunset Bungalow. Amazing property, very clean, extremely well stocked, and all the amenities you would ever expect/need (the water and Chapstick on each nightstand was a thoughtful touch). The property is properly maintained both inside and out. It's private, and in an excellent location. We have stayed in Hana, Makena, Paia, Wailea, Ka'anapali, Haiku, Lahaina, and Kapalua, in Hotels and private homes, over a period of 10 years. This place was our favorite! If prodded, the only thing I would like to see, is a small price reduction. It's not competitively priced for the area. If you can get past the price, you will not be disappointed. This is as good as it gets... really!

  Charming Bungalow with great views of both Ocean and Mountains

  We could not believe the care and attention that went into making our stay perfect. The bungalow has everything you need and is top quality. We have never slept on more comfortable beds. There is not a sandy beach front (it was lava rock), but it is just a short walk to Polo Beach. Great whale watching and the sunsets were magical.

  This vacation rental exceeded our expectations. It looked great on-line, but is fabulous in real life. The house has the charm and nostalgia of an old Hawaiian bungalow with refreshing updates where it matters. The only weird thing about the layout is you enter from the back carport through the bathroom, so the bathroom serves as the entry way. Because of the bathroom situation, I would think this rental is better for families than 2 couples. The setting is majestic and the bungalow is surrounded by huge high end homes all on large estates. We enjoyed morning coffee on the lanai, had evening barbeques watching the sunset, and roasted marshmallows in the firepit. The yard is spacious and perfect for croquet or volleyball. Our family had a wonderful time and we have great memories of our time there. It is a short walk to Polo Beach and the adjacent hotel. I definitely prefer this peaceful beautiful setting to the sterility and noise of a highrise condo or hotel. A true gem!

  Better than the pictures

  We loved this place. Such a great location, so beautiful. The fact it is a beach bungalow makes it so much more relaxing than staying in an ultra modern condo, and so much space all around with a lovely lawn right to the sea. The house is bigger than the internet pictures suggest and totally updated and comfortable. Beds were very comfortable. Unbelievable snorkelling right outside and at the gorgeous beach just to the south. On my desk at work I have a picture of the sun setting over the sea and the other Hawaiian islands taken from the deck of the house. Just an awesome place. Our kids loved it. The property managers obviously do a fantastic job with the place.

  My husband and I were pleasantly surprised by this beautiful bungalow. We have never stayed anywhere that was so well equipped. This bungalow had every amenity you could think of. The service provided by Tropical Villa Vacations was excellent. Someone was there to greet us,and they checked in regularily to see how things were going. The concierge service is five star. We enjoyed the experience so much, we booked again for next January. Until then, we have our great memories to hold us over. We would not hesitate to use Tropical Villa Vacations in the future and highly recommend them to anyone who is considering a vacation in Hawaii. Sincerely, The Olearys

  Wailea Sunset Bungalow is a well appointed guest house that comes with everything you need. The sunset views from the oceanfront lawn are spectacular but equally nice in the morning when surfers enjoy the break just offshore. Easily walk to Polo Beach for sandy water fun in the ocean or down to the resorts for dinner or cocktails. Tropical Villa Vacations service is fantastic--checking in to checking out, they want guests to be comfortable and happy. The only reservation about this property is that nearby house construction is persistent and annoying at times, but this is fully disclosed in the property write up and should end when the "mother of all waterfront palaces" is completed (seriously it is a huge home)!
