Description
Two-storey house built in stone two hundred years ago, close to a stream (originally a water mill), typically Tuscan, surrounded by olive trees, secluded but easily accessible, large terrace with magnificent views.
Seen from the front garden, the house has two floors, while from the rear-view it has only one floor. At the center of the roof the " pigeon house", the typical Tuscan tower. The two floors are connected by a central stone staircase inside . The living area is on the first floor, the bedrooms are on the ground floor.
The large terrace on the back is the focal point of the summer life and is equipped for dining and resting. All around you can only see olive trees, gardens and lawns, there are no other houses nearby. There is a barbecue in a small building at the bottom of the lawn. There is also a foot-ball table.
From the terrace you can directly access to the living area. The kitchen-dining room is very large, with a huge stone fireplace, and is well equipped with all modern conveniences (electric oven, large fridge and freezer, microwave, dishwasher, coffee machine). There is still the old wood-burning oven for bread.
Also the living room is large and bright. It gives direct access to the terrace. There is a sofa-bed, armchairs, Tv, Dvd player, satellite Tv, wood burning stove, well-stocked library of books on the territory and on 'Italy in different languages, telephone, wi-fi connection. It's connected by a spiral staircase to a bath-room built on two levels in the central tower: at the ground floor of it there is a sink and upstairs the shower, wc, bidet.
On the ground floor there are the bedrooms. The first bedroom has a French double bed and is equipped with a private bathroom (with shower, bath, sink, bidet and toilet). The second has a single bed and shares a bathroom with shower, sink and toilet with a third double bedroom (French bed).
These three rooms have a direct access from the outside. The fourth is reached instead through the third bedroom, has two single beds and is normally suitable for children. A cot for baby is provided.
There is a laundry room with washing machine, ironing board, drying rack.
There is a covered parking for two normally high cars, and other parking space for large vehicles. The last 200 meters of the road are unpaved.
The house has an authentic antique charme, because the owners have lovingly renovated it and have preserved the original structure as much as possible.
The house is not suitable for people who are less agile, given the presence of various scales, some steep, and various external gradients. The bathrooms are not very large and not all of them are directly connected to the rooms.
