Description

The Romantic Shepherd's Hut, sits comfortably, in the lush wild meadow along a meandering path, above Upper Rectory Restaurant,making for the ideal hideaway and rural retreat taking you back in time for a truly relaxing place to stay. The views from the shepherds hut are breathtaking, in a secluded setting but only 5 minutes walk away from the village pub which serve food. It is a rural property set in its own grounds with panoramic views across the Welsh hills The hut is a work of art, superbly insulated, beautifully crafted and based on the original 19th century Victorian shepherd's hut. The Shepherd's Hut is well equipped for your arrival Towels and linen are provided. We include a welcome pack of bacon, eggs from our chickens, milk and butter.

The stresses of modern day life are a distant memory here as you gaze across to the Mid Wales/ Shropshire hills.

Please feel free to explore our garden and veg patch.

There is a traditional outhouse adjacent to the Shepherd's Hut, with a cassette toilet and hand basin, with hot and cold water and electric light.

There is a lovely little quirky kitchen where light meals can be prepared with all the basic cutlery, crockery, pots & pans etc. There is a two hob/oven stove with grill.

A small trot from the paddock is the heated wet room with lashings of hot water from an electric shower. Shampoo, conditioner and body wash provided.

Please ensure that you inform us what time you will be arriving so we can light the wood burner prior to your arrival! (winter time only)

Berriew is a small village with nice people and cows. Lol I went there for family reasons not as a tourist. The local hotel has lovely meals and the tea house is really nice
