“This place is awesome!!!” We were fortunate enough to stay at this location for a week in May of 2013, and we loved it. If you are looking for a house that combines the best of the old with the best of the new, then I would strongly urge you to consider this place. As newcomers to Piedmont, we wanted a base from which to explore the region and I don't think you could find a better one than this. My wife and I stayed there with two 6 month old babies and I can honestly say that this house will has all of the comforts of home. The architecture and design are unique, and you can clearly see the loving care with which this home has been restored. When we got there, we wished we had invited more people along as this was truly a lot of space for just the four of us - with the smaller house across the courtyard that one can rent, it would be an ideal venue for an extended family get - together. The indoor space was amazing, with clean comfortable furniture, an fantastically-equipped open kitchen, and really nice bathrooms. Beyond the clutch indoor space, there is a private courtyard with outdoor furniture. On the back side of the house, there is a tremendous view that looks out across the valley and vineyards which gives an absolutely stunning view of the sunset. Nearby is aqui Terme, a delightful town full of restaurants and shops where we often ate dinner. The town the house is in is a lovely place to go for a walk through ancient roadways and buildings. There is a store and a restaurant in the town and the locals are very friendly, but the selections at these places would be limiting if one considered trying to dine there exclusively over the course of a week. All of this neglects to mention the wine in the region, which is outstanding and very affordable.
