“Cwm Irfon Lodge is amazing” I stayed at Cwm Irfon Lodge in a group of 10 friends, all cyclists from London escaping for the bank holiday weekend for a spot of training in the beautiful Welsh hills. It was Gyles and Karen that made our weekend so wonderful though. Before setting out in the mornings we were treated to coffee, porridge and a cooked breakfast -- the perfect way to start a day 2ith 100-150km riding ahead of us. Best of all though was comeing back of an afternoon/evening to a sauna and the most incredible dinners. Gyles and Karen and genuinely talented cooks and there's nothing better to mend tired bodies then a beautiful, big dinner with friends in the their cosy dining room! I can't recommend Cwm Irfon Lodge highly enough. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the surrounding countryside is mind-bogglingly beautiful and our hosts were perfect in every way. Great for a family stay too I would imagine and would definitely consider staying there again with my wife and two boys!

“A home from home...” An idyllic location with a house full of all the essentials for a short family break. Both children and Grandma were happy! Would definitely recommend for others, families or even couples looking for a luxury break. The kitchen was so well equipped you could even hold a dinner party! A fabulous break and defnitely a true home from home...

CWM YR AFON COTTAGE, pet-friendly, character cottage, with woodburner and WiFi
Harlech house
- 1 bedroom
- 1 bathroom
- sleeps 3
“Exciting location” This cottage is something of a secret gateway to wild Wales, located on a 2000 acre sheep farm which stretches into the heart of the remote and rugged Rhinog country of southern Snowdonia. Great for walkers. Mountain lakes for trout fishers. The cottage is accessed across a river ford and stoney track but has been refurbished to a high standard by the friendly and helpful owners who live next door. Although remote, the pubs and shops of Harlech and Llanbedr are no more than 20 mins drive from the farm. Well worth a visit if you're a fit outdoor type.

Tabor house

“Peaceful, comfortable get away from it all” Llety Nest was spotless, very comfortable and contained everything you could possibly need. The noisiest thing in the area were the sheep. Excellent centre for mid and north Wales, with excellent hill walking literally right on your door step by turning right to walk along the private lane you are on top of the hill in minutes. You can then return to a warm cosy cottage and a hot power shower, whilst your clothes are in the washing machine.

“peace & quite with outstanding views & wild life” the house is well placed and easy to find, the layout was modern and well layed out with comfortable beds. “Relaxation and reinvigoration.” This is an exceptionally well-equipped and comfortable house. We had some lovely welcome goodies - flowers/food & drink -something for everyone. I really missed the sunflowers when they finally faded! We tended to use the ground floor kitchen for our meals, so brought some of the pots and pans downstairs. We lost the children to the basement games room for the first few hours each morning until the weather brightened up. The views from the front bedrooms out over the bay are lovely. I didn't think I'd ever find a more comfortable bed than my own, but here I did. There are lots of stairs, but all quite manageable, even for the elderly(1) and infirm(1) amongst us. Lovely garden to sit out in. This was our first visit to New Quay and we loved it. Lots of great walks around the bay and along the coastal path. We tried sailing and kayaking at the Watersports Centre. Everything we needed was within walking distance, so we didn't have to keep getting in the car, although we did venture out on occasions. We look forward to returning in the future
