“Every need anticipated” Newly restored and attractively decorated, this house accommodated 6 adults comfortably and well on a long weekend of rowing races on the Tennessee River. A bathroom with each bedroom (plus a spare) was most convenient. The kitchen was outfitted with everything (including crock pot, dutch oven, and tea set). WiFi worked great and there was adequate and spacious off the street parking for our five vehicles. Peaceful neighborhood. We would stay again.

About Chattanooga

In recent years, Chattanooga, Tennessee has transformed its downtown area and waterfront into a city that has received national awards for its "outstanding livability." Nestled on the border of Georgia and along the Tennessee River, Chattanooga has all the elements of a big city, such as a burgeoning theatre and nightlife scene, yet still retains a welcoming, small town feel. Most of your time in Chattanooga will likely be spent in the downtown metropolitan area, the North Shore District, the more suburban Southside District, or the historic St. Elmo District at the foot of Lookout Mountain.

While you're in Chattanooga, be sure to make time for some of these must-see destinations:

  • Rock City Garden: Located a few miles from downtown on Lookout Mountain, this garden features a 4,100 foot walking trail, 90 foot waterfall, and 180 foot-long suspension bridge. Be sure to climb up to Lover's Leap, where the view spans across seven states.
  • Incline Railway: This railway features one of the steepest passenger inclines in the world.
  • Ruby Falls: Check out this 145 foot waterfall inside of Lookout Mountain.
  • Tennessee Aquarium: This aquarium is divided into two separate buildings for twice the fun. "River Journey" focuses on freshwater environments while "Ocean Journey" allows visitors to see sharks and touch stingrays, among other things.
  • Coolidge Park: Chattanooga's most popular park features an interactive play fountain, restored carousel, and lots of open space next to the Walnut Street Bridge.

Many of Chattanooga's main festivals fall during the summer months, so be sure to plan your vacation around them if you were planning to visit then anyway. The most popular event is the Riverbend Festival, an annual, nine-day music showcase held in June. Other noted festivals are the River Roast, which celebrates the best in Southern barbeque, and the Bessie Smith Strut, a one-night festival named after the city's most famous blues singer.

A vacation rental is the preferred option for those visiting Chattanooga. Luckily, no matter what time of year you visit, it's easy to find a vacation rental in Chattanooga. In addition to a spacious condo rental with luxury amenities and sweeping views of the city, it's also possible to book a cabin rental for a wilderness experience you won't soon forget.

Blue Bungalow at the foot of Lookout Mountain.
Great stay!

Chattanooga was our first big vacation as a family of four. Our niece and my parents came along. The Blue Bungalow in St. Elmo was perfect. The owners are so nice and accommodating. We enjoyed the attractions--Ruby Falls, the Incline Railway, the Tennessee Aquarium, the local train ride, and especially Rock City. There's much more to do than we had time to explore. The house was cozy and convenient for sure! Great location! I'm so happy we chose Chattanooga and the Blue Bungalow!see more

Everything was so neat and clean!

The owner of this property really kept you in the loop with directions, attractions, how the security in the build was arranged and everything. Once you walk into this place, you get the feeling of cleanliness and home. She has several things already in the apartment, so you don't have to bring or pick up so much stuff when you get there (i.e. soap, cleaning supplies, detergent, coffee, etc). I had no issues with staying here and I can see our family renting this condo again. She even left snacks and drinks in the fridge for when you arrive. Awesome!see more

Beautiful Home near Downtown Chattanooga

The house was a beautiful landing spot when we were in town for a wedding. It was within walking distance of some delicious restaurants and the downtown area. The owners were accommodated our early arrival request and were very responsive throughout the process. I would definitely stay there again! … see more
Hemlock Falls LLC Mins. From Chattanooga, 2 miles from Foster Falls state park.
Beautiful log cabin, full of lovely antiques, modern kitchen and bath, lovely views.

Cabin is authentic, cozy and just beautiful. Location is private but easily accessible. The porch and the deck have great views. There are 2 waterfalls to hike to just down the road (Foster Falls and Denney's Cove). Fun and fabulous restaurants and eateries. Owner Lynn is wonderful, we really enjoyed meeting her and learning the history of the cabin. Loved every minute of our visit to Hemlock Falls.see more
Coolidge Park 324
Nice stay in Chattanooga

The house was beautiful and well decorated. All appliances worked well. The neighborhood was quiet. We were attending a wedding in Coolidge Park in Chattanooga and this house was very convenient to the location. It is also convenient to many other Chattanooga attractions such as the Aquarium. The beautiful view from most windows was high in the trees and it almost seems as if the house was a treehouse. The negatives were that the closets were full and we had no room to hang up our clothes. The refrigerator was full but it was not clear if we should help ourselves or not. We chose to buy our own groceries which barely fit. The driveway is steep and difficult to back out of after parking to the left of the house as requested.see more
