“Perfect!” Visited DR for my daughter's senior Spring Break. While most chose an all-inclusive resort, we wanted the space/freedom of a condo, and Ilia's place did not disappoint... a really special and absolutely perfect vacation! Rental, arrival and check-in were streamlined and simple, and Ilia's driver, manager and maid were all very helpful and welcoming. The condo itself is lovely -- photos are accurate -- and well-located within the complex. The balcony has an unimpeded view of the ocean just a few steps away, and you are also steps from one of the pools. Morning coffee or evening wine with that view + the sound of the ocean = perfection! The complex, including a private stretch of beach, is beautifully maintained, and we never had a problem finding a beach lounger with a direct view of the ocean, whether on the sand or in the shade. Guards on the beach keep away non-residents and the more aggressive vendors (but not the ladies selling massages in the shed next door -- highly recommend!). Activities can be purchased on the beach or from a condo resident. Kids enjoyed ziplining and parasailing. Dining options in the area are fabulous! Within a 1-10 minute walk of the complex are numerous restaurants with great, eager to please service and very affordable prices. Didn't have a bad meal all week, but our favorites were Citrus and Pastrata. Also liked the French bakery across the street, despite the unwelcoming service...Everyone else we encountered, though, was lovely, and we appreciated their help with our dreadful Spanish! For nightlife, there are numerous beach bars, but daughter really enjoyed joining the locals at Danny's across the street from the complex. Sidenote: Friends at the aI resort were told it was dangerous to go off property, but we found this completely untrue...walked everywhere at all hours and never felt unsafe. Our group (both kids and adults!) agreed that a condo -- this condo -- was definitely the way to go. Thanks Ilia and crew!

“Gorgeous relaxing Caribbean villa” Everything that past reviewers have said about Casona Palms is true. It is truly a Caribbean paradise, private, secluded, quiet, and absolutely beautiful. The atmosphere encourages you to sit still and relax while soaking in the gorgeous view of the sea and listening to the wind rustle in the coconut palms. The beach is kept raked clean by the caretakers, the kayaks are ready for your use, and the lounge chairs await you and a good book. The house is pristine, tasteful, and more than comfortable. Michael the owner provided us with extremely helpful and complete information on the house and surrounding area, including great driving directions. We enjoyed trips to the village of Majahual, quiet and lazy when the cruise ships are not in, but more shops are open on cruise ship days. You can occupy a table on the beach and slip in the water for a swim between margaritas. There is a great pescaderia that sells fish and lobster fresh off the boats every afternoon. Ask around for antonio the owner. We enjoyed an excursion to the stunning Mayan ruins of Chocchoban. We went on a day when the cruise ships were not in and had the entire place to ourselves. We spent a couple days with Nick Denbow, a delightful local fishing guide and British expat. The men in our group went bone fishing with him one day on a nearby lagoon, and our entire group went bird and wildlife watching with him on the border between Mexico and Belize. We experienced dozens of stingrays swimming past our boats and leaping in the air in the Chetumal Bay and were thrilled by gentle giant manatees approaching our boat in the river. I can recommend Casona Palms without hesitation.

“Best stay ever!” I had an amazing stay at this Villa! Daniel and his staff were awesome! Maria cooked dinner and breakfast for us which was so tasty! The home was clean and well put together. It had amazing beachfront views, I would definitely stay here again!

“Perfect Jamaican vacation for families who enjoy being in the heart of the city.” Our hosts, Nathan and Melissa were warm and friendly and very responsive to our many questions when preparing for our trip to Jamaica. They both visited with us during our trip and were available by phone to answer any questions or give recommendations. The villa was simple and perfect. There was always a cool breeze coming off the sea through the main entrance of the house and with the ceiling fans, there was no need for air conditioning. Both bedrooms had excellent air conditioning systems however, so we used those on just a few nights when the restaurant down the road had music playing - couldn't hear a thing with the windows closed. We felt very safe in the home and out and about in Ochi, which was an initial concern of ours. It was quickly dismissed after going out with Ms. Barbara around the town for a "tour". Milo (and Kirk - who was very nice), the night security gentleman was wonderful, had many interesting stories and was very generous, bringing us mangos and fresh ackee. Ms. Barbara, our chef, was simply the best. She cooked amazing fresh Jamaican food, oriented us to the town and stores, taught me how to make some dishes, and was knowledgeable about nutrition and health. She even made my "green juice" for me in the morning. She knew the island and was quite helpful about how to get around and acclimate to being in JA. The sea was perfect for scuba and looks just like the pictures posted - we spent time snorkeling, swimming, watching the world cup on the large screen TV, playing soccer on the beach, reading and just relaxing and rejuvenating in the sunshine. The Knutsford Express bus took us to Kingston and back - would highly recommend it for traveling distances - very clean and comfortable. We had a wonderful family vacation, my boys (11 & 16) loved it and felt it was way better than going to an all-inclusive resort - the food was CERTAINLY better! We hope to get back there soon - perhaps rent both Eden Sands and Neptune, the villa next door. Thank you to all those we met at Eden Sands Villa for a great Jamaica visit.

“Winter Getaway” This was not our first trip to Grand Cayman and we are very familiar with the island and what is available by way of accommodation. We have always been partial to the North Side. It offers the peace and tranquillity that you cannot find on 7 Mile Beach and “A Mid-Winter Night’s Dream” has definitely offered us the best experience so far. The condo was as described, very clean and so well equipped, we wanted for nothing. Definitely the best unit in the complex. We had a direct unobstructed view of the ocean and although we had planned to eat dinner at nearby restaurants, we spent most evenings dining on the lanai listing to the sounds of the ocean. Great snorkeling, very private beach and surrounding area. My husband and I highly recommend this property. “Beautiful Setting, Relaxing Stay” This is our second visit to Tankah Bay and it's pretty hard to beat our first stay. This was definitely comparable. The house was beautiful, clean, spacious and perfect for what we wanted. The caretakers were absolutely wonderful and very accommodating for our needs. I recommend taking advantage of their cooking skills, it will add to your relaxing experience and the food was excellent. Everyday you can stroll on the beach, take a swim, snorkel and kayak. Everything is right there, almost no need to leave the property. Within walking distance you have the Manatee Cenote, I highly recommend, just go early because it can get busy. Also, within walking distance, you have two bar/restaurants. My favorite part of the day was relaxing under the palapa, right on water, watching the birds hunt and dive. The beach side of the villa also offers privacy with a patio and lounging areas sheltered by hedges. I'd like to give a special thank-you to the property manager who provided us with fresh eggs from a local farm when the grocery store ran out of them just before Christmas. The Tulum ruins are a must see, as well as the Coba ruins. If you are adventurous, you can climb largest ruin in Coba and get an amazing view of the jungle. I could go on and on about how amazing this place is, but, you'll have to find out for yourselves! We will definitely be back and highly recommend this stunning villa. A much needed escape from the gray and cold of winter.

“The best the best the best” We traveled with our 4 children and my mother in law to Treasure Beach for the week. It was absolutely Phenomenal. It is perfectly situated On the beach with two magnificent beach coves 20 steps from the door. Our kids were able to run in and out easily all day. Absolutely highlight however is audrey's fantastic cooking. We made a menu with her for the week and every night after a heavenly day at the beach we were greeted with a traditional, home cooked Jamaica Feast. Book early because this house books up far in advance.
