Casa Alta, Spacious 2 bedroom house with private balcony
Culebra house

“Amazing find!” Our stay was absolutely wonderful. This little house on stilts has so much charm and warmth that it really felt like home. We had a BBQ on the patio to make wonderful meals, a large backyard to watch the fascinating wildlife from iguanas to chickens to all sorts of different birds, and hammocks for the lazy mornings. The house was full equipped with everything we needed to cook as well as stocked with towels and fresh linen. The air conditioned rooms help a lot to sleep soundly and also block out the noise of the excited morning roosters. The location is a little off the beaten path but easy to find and travel to the beaches by bike, golf cart or jeep. Town is about a 20 min walk and the nearest grocery about 10 min away. This little house is a real gem and would stay there again in a heartbeat.

“Great Villa, Fantastic View” My wife and I, and another couple, thought the stay at Casa Ella was fantastic. Maria, the property manager, greeted us at the Ferry dock when we arrived. She gave us a tour of the town, in her car, and then off to the grocery store to purchase some groceries. She then showed us around the villa, answered all our questions and made us promise to call if we needed anything. The kitchen was well supplied with some food staples and all sorts of utensils. The villa was clean and well maintained. The off street parking for the rental car was a plus. The view and location was fantastic. Close to the downtown area and beaches. The patio provided awesome views of the bay and the electric grill was great for evening meals. The washer and dryer was a real benefit as we could have gotten away with a lot less clothing. The outdoor shower was great for rinsing off snorkeling gear and the beach sand before entering the villa. The villa also had four beach chairs, a cooler and beach towels available. Maria and Glen also provided transportation to the dock when we left for home. They are very wonderful people that made the whole adventure special.

“Most amazing 4 day get away” My boyfriend and I stayed at Terri's Casita La Perlita and had an absolutely amazing time. We stayed in Casita 2 which is one of Terri's 2 casitas on the property of land. The casita is located near the museo. Although the casita is not "downtown" per say it actually makes her place a beautiful get away spot. It is quiet, homey, cozy, and has a view of the water. My boyfriend and I rented bikes (Terri had suggested a scooter or car but there were none available b/c of the last minute timing on our part) and we were able to get to pretty much every beach on the island. I would suggest others to rent a car or scooter b/c it seems to be easier to get around this way since the island is very hilly. Terri is also very accommodating and always was accessible by phone in case you need her during your stay. The casita itself was perfect and better then the pictures! A gorgeous porch area where we sat out in the morning and at nights, a kitchen with a good cooking area, a large refrigerator, a new bathroom w/ shower and toilet, and space to put clothes. I would highly suggest renting from Teresa and coming to Culebra to stay at her place! Culebra is a beautiful island and Terri's place offers the peace/relaxation that is perfect for a wonderful vacation!

Ocean views and privacy--Casa Estrella awaits!!
Isla de Vieques house
2 bedrooms / 1 bathroom / sleeps 4
“Best experience yet!” This was our second trip to Vieques. On our first trip, we loved the island, we didn't love our rental house. Details were overlooked (dripping coffeemaker, no can opener) and everything was worn out. Definitely not the case with Casa Estrella - this house has truly been a labor of love and no detail has been overlooked. We loved staying here. The house is exactly what you need in a beach house, the roof deck was fantastic and the location was great. We have found our base for our annual trek to Vieques. (We have two young kids - 4 and 7- and the house was great for them too.) Highly recommended!!!

“Great Villa in a beautiful tranquil location!!” We just got back from a week in Vieques. We loved this villa for its tranquil setting and excellent interior/exterior living spaces! The views are spectacular and the house has every amenity you may want or need! The breezes will keep you very comfortable and the bugs away, which is great! I would also like to add that the beds are very comfortable, which I find as a frequent traveler is rare in a rental home for some reason. Both the owner and property manager are excellent to work with and extremely responsive. There was even a bottle of wine waiting for us in the fridge! The location is a quick 5-10 minute drive down to the beaches some excellent restaurants. I have been to Vieques several times now in the last few years and this by far is the best place we have rented.

“Great Place To Stay” These was our first trip to Vieques and we decided to book and stay in andrea's House and had a blast. The house is very comfortable. We were very pleased with what we found there. Very clean, fresh and beautiful place. Absolutely we will stay there again!

“Awesome!!!” The house was set up with not only a beachy vacation type house, but also rings with hominess!! My family was comfortable in a matter of minutes and that is not easy with teenagers and little ones alike. The size was also very good for the 5 of us and we each had our own space especially with the back patio, which was my favorite space. Just like a tropical garden in the resort, but we had it all to ourselves and cooked a couple of amazing dinners outside with some local fish and grocery finds. Definitely check out the fresh fruit stand and the fish market. Listen to Michelle--she is a wealth of information, you just have to keep up with her pace or write a lot down on paper.

Cima Del Mundo-Del Sol Suite. New Pool,Fab Views!
Isla de Vieques apartment
2 bedrooms / 1 bathroom / sleeps 4
“Best Decision Ever” My husband and I had never been to Vieques and did TONS of research on it. We struggled with whether we should stay at a hotel, what town to be in, etc. I stumbled onto Cima Del Mundo on TripAdvisor and it was such a blessing. The property is wonderful. It has everything you need to enjoy the island. We even rented the small SUV that is available with the rental. Also, the place has a fabulous security system. More than anything though, Deborah and Dennis are just awesome. Very nice, very responsive, and full of tips and suggestions of how best to enjoy the island. It is NOT an island with beach chairs for rent, cabanas, or waiters who will bring you pina coladas. If you need a full-service/beach-waiter experience, stick to mainland Puerto Rico. Instead, you'll find beaches that have beautiful sand and water and are deserted except for you. That was paradise for us. Go to Vieques, stay at Cima del Mundo, load up your car with beach chairs and a cooler of beer, and hit every beach you can. You won't regret it.

Isla de Vieques house

“Everything we hoped it would be...” This first floor two bedroom apartment was great and just what we'd hoped it would be for two parents and a teen. It is in great shape and truly felt like a home and not a rental unit. In a safe neighborhood 0.8 miles from Isabelle 2, it is a quick drive or easy walk into town. Isabelle 2 is far more preferable to Esparanza in my mind as it is the main town where there are restaurants, a bank, shops and markets and of course the local people who we found to be warm and helpful. The unit has access to a wonderful private patio/garden beside a patch of banana tress and is surrounded by a privacy wall which allows glimpses of the ocean beyond. We enjoyed sitting there after exploring the island or a day at the beach. Being on a bit of a hill in the Bravo de Boston area allows for great sun and pleasant breezes which we reveled in. There was a place for our rented jeep as well. So of course everyone has concerns about the roosters crowing day and night as did we. Not many want to have roosters directly outside the window. Happily this location did not have "proximate" roosters. Yes, you can hear them, but they are at a distance and I must say we liked having the sounds of distant crowing as part of the Vieques experience. The unit has aC, but it was definitely not needed at this time of the year. The ceiling fans were perfect for our needs. Keeping the screen doors closed will keep out evening/early morning mosquitos which are another part of Vieques life. We were really happy to have the use of portable beach chairs and a beach umbrella provided by the Owner. A nice touch I thought. The owner was very pleasant and provided us with great tips on getting from PR to Vieques. She also gave us great information about the island once we arrived regarding the ins and outs of island life and was able to drop us off at the car rental place when we arrived, and at the ferry when we reluctantly started our return trip. We plan on returning and staying again!

CASITA ROSITA Large 2 bdrm in ESPERANZA--close to everything
Isla de Vieques house
2 bedrooms / 2 bathrooms / sleeps 6
“Fabulous home away from home!” We really enjoyed staying at Casita Rosita! The house is decorated in an artistic and comfortable way that was very warm and welcoming. They had everything we needed for the beach: a cooler, towels, beach chairs, an umbrella, stuff for snorkeling. There are ceiling fans in every room of the house and the air conditioning keeps the whole house cool. We could easily walk to the main center of Esperanza, where there are restaurants and bars overlooking the water. There is a small market and bakery just down the street from the house, which was great for grabbing snacks and drinks on the way to the beach. I found it really easy to contact Rosie, the owner of the house and she was very nice to work with. I've already recommended the house to other friends from San Diego who love to visit Vieques and I would definitely stay here again!

Cima Del Mundo-Del Mar Suite. New Pool, Fab Views!
Isla de Vieques apartment
3 bedrooms / 1 bathroom / sleeps 6
“A Wonderful Place to Stay with Helpful and Appreciative Owners.” Cima was our first VRBO stay and it could not have been more pleasant. From the initial conversation to the follow up after the visit, the communication with Deborah was prompt, informative and friendly. Anything we wanted to know about Vieques was quickly answered with a thorough explanation and recommendations, before we even left. There is only so much you can learn through websites. To be able to speak with somebody who lives there is quite another thing. One of the first recommendations Deborah made to us is to fly to the island rather than take the ferry. The plane ride was simply perfect, a short ten minute trip with picturesque views of the island. When we arrived at the Island, Deborah's husband, Dennis, picked us up in his Jeep and gave us a nice tour of the island's landmarks. Then we drove up to the house and we were blown away. First off, the house is situated on a hilltop, which gives it incredible views towards the west, which means the sun sets right in front of you, into the blue Caribbean water. Deborah was waiting for us upon our arrival and gave us an immediate tour of the property. The wonderful thing about this property is that the structure of it gives all three units the ability to enjoy the views without even realizing you are all there together. It felt like the whole place was ours. When Deborah opened the door, we realized what people meant when they said the pictures don't do it justice. For some reason, the camera just doesn't pick up the property well enough. The place is immaculate. Everything looked brand new. The decoration was modern and comfortable and the layout was designed intuitively. The kitchen had everything we needed with plenty of room to store the things we bought. The bathroom was pristine and organized and the bedrooms were spacious and accommodating. The bed in the room closest to the patio was the one we used and it was very comfortable. But of course, the best thing about this place is the patio, which overlooks the island and the Caribbean in the background. We ate all our meals out there because it was just something you don't get to experience that often. The view from the pool is just as great. We would hang out there with Tucker, their dog, and just relax after long days of running around. Also, they have a nice grill right outside the door which we used several times after buying fresh food from town. This could not have been a better experience and we highly recommend it.
