“We would definitely recommend this place!” We agree with all the other reviews! Great view, clean apartment, nice location, etc. Paul returned phone calls/messages quickly. We had trouble with our directions (that we had gotten from somewhere else, not from Paul), and he went out of his way to help us. If we are ever back to this area of Puerto Rico, we would definitely stay here again!

“Amazing views and comfort right on the beach...just what we want” Our trip was amazing.. We rented villa#2 for our first 5 days and villa #3 for the last 3 days and both were more than we expected. The pictures did it no justice, these villas were comfortable, clean, well furnished, maintained and on the most wonderful natural beach. The hostess was very responsive to all our needs and the booking, check in and out process very smooth. “joe paradise house” The barrero beach house, was one of the best stays we had in Rincon . it was me and my husband and my small maltese dog. we had a great time. The waves were very soothing day and night. beautiful area, nice and relaxing, neighbors were very friendly, my husband was invited to go fishing with the fishermens next door. the house was so comfortable , it had everything but food lol. joe is the uncle we never had . We cannot wait to get back there. not only is hes pet friendly but people friendly also. we had stayed in rinco paradores before but never again. Thank you joe for our best stay in such a lovely house. see you soon : )

“No need to look any further...this is the place to stay!” I cannot say enough about this villa experience! From beginning to end everything was exceptional! Marcos and Magda met us there to show us the villa which is immaculate, spacious and well stocked. Our favorite things to do were boogie boards, kayaks and even sea glass hunting...which was a pleasant surprise! I found a blue sea glass rock so big I am going to have a ring made out of it! The kids absolutely loved the tide pool which was steps away from the villa. The beaches are all so close and in driving distance, but our favorite was Sandy Beach which we could walk to! The color of the water there is stunning! The kids especially enjoyed having a play station to use when they needed a break from the sun. I would rate this my favorite vacation spot thus far, and we will be coming back! Thank you again Marco and Magda for the best vacation we could have hoped for!

About Isabela
Little is known about Isabela in Puerto Rico, until the governor, José Antonio de Mendizábal y Azares, gave permission for a settlement to be established in the area, around 1725.
The town was named after Queen Isabela of Castile when it was founded in 1819 and the local culture is still embedded in the traditions of the Catholic church.
Local festivals include The Three King's Day in January (Epiphany), the Isabela Cock Fight Festival in February, the Textile Festival in May and the Festival of Saint Anthony of Padua—the patron saint of Isabela—in June. See what you can find going on when you get there!
Puerto Rico's climate means that you can feast on mangoes, bananas, oranges and guavas, as well as chicken and avocados and white queso cheese.

What to do in Isabela, Puerto Rico
Swim in the turquoise water of the Blue Hole in Playa Shacks and see the marine life, caves and reefs.
Walk through the Guajataca State Forest and see the incredible karst formations. You can spend your time bird-watching, or explore the caves, including the Cueva (Cave) del Viento.
You can also kayak up the Guajataca River, and visit the Guajataca Tunnel.
However, if you are feeling lazy, just sling a hammock between palm trees on the beach and chill!
Walk, jog or cycle on the boardwalk along the Coastal Trail (Paseo Lineal). It's great for seeing the beautiful Isabela coastline. Unlike the boardwalks of the US, this one isn't usually at all busy. Don't forget your camera as there are photo-ops aplenty!
No visit would be complete without a tour of the Ermita San Antonio de la Tuna ruins. This is the main historical attraction and is where the town was originally founded in 1725.
Top travel tips for Isabela
You can fly to San Juan International airport, Luis Munoz Marin Airport (SJU), rent a car there and drive the 72 miles to Isabela. It takes between an hour and a half and 2 hours. Of course, if you prefer you could take a taxi, but this might be expensive.
If you don't mind more time on a plane, fly to Aguadilla Airport, Rafael Hernández Airport (BQN). Isabela is only 10 minutes away!
The best way of getting around Isabela is to hire a bicycle or car, or simply walk and enjoy the sites.
If you're looking for a bigger adventure, spend a night or two in San Juan and explore the city.
